Weight loss myth?

I was reading an article in a web magazine and it said that strength training and weight lifting will not necessarily make you lose weight and bulk up with muscle... Here is the article in
HTML:

.

Is what the writer says true?Any thoughts?

Link only goes to a main site right?
Anyway, lifting can help you lose OR gain, depending on how you train. Anyone who says otherwise does not know what they are talking about.

that's the full story. And much of what they say is true: that simple weight training isn't gonna make men and women look like heavyweight bodybuilders.

it's really not a very enlightening article if you've done much research..or read Body for Life, BodyRX or The Edge (by Weider).

like the site says, bulking is nutrition and proper exercises.
it doesnt say weightlifting cant increase lean muscle mass ...

same goes for cutting (losing bf) .... with proper nutrition, you will maintain alot of your muscle as you follow a diet recommended for cutting.

i think you may have interpreted it wrong ?
ne ways ... just go in the gym and find out urself.. much better that way :D
