I try not to over obsess about my weight loss, however I wonder what will be left of my stomach it is massive. Will it look like a deflated balloon or will it still be full of fat. Surgery is extreme and expensive. I know its never going to be flat and that I can live with. I just wonder what it will look like. What is best for loosing abdominal weight cardio, crunches, sit-ups?

it will look much like a deflated balloon. That will disappear a bit within a couple of years but you will probably need surgery to be rid of it.
I decided the surgery was expensive, so i just wear things that cover it and its not really noticeable. Just means no crop tops or bikinis :)

You can do it!
So proud of you, keep up the good work.
I'm 5'3 and trying to lose about 60 lbs.

Thanks for all of the support and the kind words.

Here are some pictures of my head. One from November 2009 and one that I took in a few days ago (January 2010)

I'm by no means an expert, but I know you can't spot reduce. Your body looses where it looses. Most people will tell you the belly is the hardest and last to go, and the first to gain.

Hey, just stopping through, and wondering how your weightloss is going. Keep us updated when you can. Your face shots really show an improvement and definitely a more confident you.

Pictures of me at 290 lbs

Sorry for the break, I have been sick with food allergies and the list keeps growing of things that I have trouble consuming. I am currently right at 250 lbs. Here are some pictures of me from 2008 at 290 lbs they make me want to cry to see them. I am the one with the brown jacket

Small update.

Yikes its has been a while. When I joined it was part of my daily routine to look at this forum and now its just something else to keep up with but I realize that it is so beneficial for me. Gradually this year I have been shifting my diet towards vegetarianism, which I am proud to say that I am very vegetarian. So many years have I went back and forth between eating meat and animal byproducts to a vegetarian diet but I would never say that I was vegetarian because I knew at that time in my life that it was not permanent, and to avoid questions and debates. So now I tell people that I am vegetarian that holds me accountable for my choice. My food allergies or intolerance issues were related to lactose and eggs, so along with ousting meat dairy and eggs are out of the questions too (which if I had it my way I would still eat dairy and eggs but it makes me sick). I have managed to loose 5 pounds since my last check in so now I am 245 lbs. My electronic scale I think it was possessed I would step on it and it would show 305, then 298, then 275 then, 268, and I have never been 305 the battery was new not sure what was going on with it, so today I got me a nice old fashion scale NO BATTERY NEEDED.

Those face shots are amazing! Your gorgeous bone structure and eye shape are much more apparent. (heavens to betsy! girl keep those bangs off your gorgeous peepers!)
Keep up the excellent work!
