Weight lifting and cardio.

HIIT does have some great benefits to it. Steady state does as well (though I prefer intervals). So ya, it's good to do both of them. If you're going to do HIIT 3 days a week, weights 3 days a week (and LISS on the same days as weights) + 4 hours of football on Saturday I'd worry about your recovery. If you want to try that go ahead, but after a few weeks if you're not seeing much progress with the weights you should lower your workload (starting with the LISS if you dont want to cut back on the football). It's hard to say over the net because different people can handle different workloads and if you're used to doing steady state cardio and playing football on Saturday then you might be ok. How tall are you man?
 
Im 6 feet 1 inch, after looking at what i had planned for the weeks, What would you suggest as the best plan for me day by day?
