Weekend interruption

This past weekend, I had to go out of town and basically spent the entire weekend busy as hell, eating badly, and drinking with friends. And this week I have felt like crap. I tried cycling, but was so dizzy, that I could only do half my ride. How do I get back into it?! It's been hard enough getting my 5-6 meals a day back...but the working out?! I feel I don't have the energy for anything be it strength or aerobic...and I am tired as all get-out.

I think this means I had too much fun. :p

You get back into it the same way you started in the first place. You do it.

Once you get your diet back in check and get well rested, you'll probably be back to yourself in no time. In the meantime, don't let this knock you too far off course. Do your workouts, push yourself, just not to the point of being dizzy or anything. It won't do you any good if you're laid up in bed with a broken leg because you passed out and fell off your bike. :D
 
Yeah its just a time thing. A good way though to reduce the effects of partying is really makeing sure to make up for dehydration as its the number one negative effect from that. So drink tons of water, take in some good green tea and make sure your vitamins and nutrients form food are solid. I don't party much but when i do just takes me a day to get back really cause I "pamper" my body the whole next day.
 
Thanks guys...yes, I was VERY dehydrated. That might be the worst part of it. And sadly, I did tip my bike, put out my arm to catch me (which I did) and scraped it nicely on the bark of a tree. Excellent. Eating is pretty much back on track...did strength last night. So hopefully, can really get my aerobic workout back together this weekend. I might swim though...

It also sucks that I realized that time of the month is due, and that crap is hitting me at the same time. Just my luck...but I am feeling somewhat better now. :)
 
Here in Nebrasak, we call that "going on a bender".

just get back on the horse, get diet back in check, drink more water to detox and especially avoid any crap food for a week.

this is why I try to only stray for a meal, not a weekend...its easier to bounce back from a couple slices of pizza than a weekend of debauchery.

(sadly, I LOVE debauchery)
