Wanting to tone thighs and butt

Hi everybody, I am new to the forum and think this is a really neat place to get the encouragement you need to accomplish your goals. Congrats to all of you!
anyways I am having a delema with equipment. I am wanting to just trim down and tone my butt and thighs. I was thinking of using exercise equipment, because doing the exercises on my own just doesnt work for me. Does anybody have any suggestions on equipment, brand name, what you would recommend for that peticular area only?

I was thinking of the bun and thigh roller, or the bun and thigh max. Would any of these work? I dont want to purchase something and then be unhappy with the results and then be stuck with the equipment.

why would you want to have a toned ass and thighs while leaving everything else as flabby as ever?

You cannot spot reduce. You must do cardio to really lose excess fat.

Cardio, weights, Cardio, weights, cardio, weights, rest

mix it up and have fun
 
While veg means while. I'd recommend finding a competent personal trainer who can design a program for you that you can do at home or at the gym.

Don't waste your money on a piece of equipment you'll throw away in a few months. Find a decent trainer and go from there.

Buns and Thighs

In addition to a cardio workout, I found the quickest (and cheapest) way to tone your buns and thighs, as Kay mentioned, are squats and lunges.
 
Also a good exercise for thighs and butt is the pelvic raises.
Lie flat on your back and your knees bent and apart. Raise and curl your pubic bone towards your stomach. Tighten your stomach as well. Think yourself like a scorpion, curling its tail. Just keep your back straight and don't arch. To help you keep in check, place your hands palms down on the floor on your lower back. Your lower back should always be in contact with the backs of your hand. Vary this by double timing in intervals, get on tiptoes instead of your feet flat, bringing your knees closer together, and alternation of knees being apart and closer every other curl.
