I feel like I have tried everything to lose weight recently. The last time I was successful was five years ago and that was when I had a Drill Sargent of a personal trainer to push me along. But, that was the last time I was really, really happy.

One very long trip abroad erased all of that for me. Exotic foods, decadence, temptations, etc.

So now I must must get it all back. My goal is to lose 27lbs (currently 177lbs) and get back to 150 - 157lbs. 157 was the last time I remember being confidant and excited. (specially when shopping. one of my fav things to do - which i refuse to do until i lose some weight.)

But I'm not seeing any results and it's discouraging.
Regardless, I have a new trainer, and I swear, I just have to lose this weight or I'm going to lose my mind.

STATS:

Height: 5'10
Weight: 177lbs
Age: 23

Goal: lose 27lbs and go shopping.

I'm going to the gym 4 times a week and I'm thinking I need to walk thru the day in addition - I'm really going to have to make a concentrated effort on that one.**

sigh

First of all- you picked a great place to come to :)
Second- what are you doing in your workouts?? If you've been stickin with the same thing for a while, it might be time to switch it up a bit cuz your body could be used to it...
Third- what are you doing food wise? Theres a lot of different things people do with their food, and theres a big section under Nutrition, but definately post your workouts and food in here, people can tell you how to maximize benefits and tweak your plans a bit.
