Trying to lose weight, have a few Q's

Hi, I'm new here blah blah the usual introductions :p
Anyway, in the last handful of years, I've gained an unhealthy amount of weight and now I have to lose it. I'm starting with the treadmill 10-20 minutes once a day, cutting back on fatty junk foods, and just trying to be generally more active. I have a few questions, some curiousities that have plagued my mind!

Where does the fat go when you're burning it off? How does it leave the body?
Does Cellulite (spelling?) go away when you start losing weight?
Do stretch marks go away to any extent?
Does fat burn off everywhere, even if its just one place doing the exercise? (Like using the treadmill, will the fat burn off from my arms after a while, or could I have fat arms and skinny little legs?)

Any answers would be great, thanks!

Where does fat go when it is burned off?
To my understanding (and i could be wrong) is that the fat doesn't go anywhere. The decrease your size will be the result of the fat cells getting smaller rather than just breaking off and disappearing.

Hmmmmm, I have wondered this same thing but have never asked it. Im not an expert by any means, But I would think it has to go somewhere  .

Think about the people who have been over 100lbs overweight and lost it. All that fat had to go somewhere. Im gonna "GUESS" that it ends up the same place every thing else does, down the toilet. If I am incorrect Im sure somebody will speak up.

The triglycerides are broken down into more simple molecues and put into the blood stream to go to muscles to be turned into ATP and broken down into energy. In the end I believe it leave as co2 and water. Science: triglyceride ~> glycerol; (3)fatty acids ~> aceytl CoA [beta oxidation] + aceytl CoA glycerol [glycolysis] ~> ATP; H20; Co2

Yes it does.

They fade.

And yes, the fat comes from all over.

Woah.. I've never felt so educated :D Thank you for that!!

Mreik hit the nail on the head. Just learned about all of this in my biology course last quarter actually.

And regarding losing weight...if you do the cardio, the weight comes off your whole body in general. You cannot "choose" where to lose the fat. Your body will have certain spots it may tend to prefer to grab the fat from, and you may lose fat there faster, but eventually if you keep working it will all catch up.
