I take it that when you say 'bulk up' you want to gain weight? If so then you need to work out how many calories you need to be taking in. Weight training can't build bigger muscles if the supplies aren't there to create new tissue

You could try creating a log at to see exactly what you're taking in

You need to be lifting really heavy weights. Work up to it - but push yourself in that direction. There are many theories out there about how to lift. I like to at least push myself to exhaustion on every exercise then switch to a different muscle group for a while. It sounds like you have a high metabolism to boot. That means to me you should pick up a protien powder to help your muscles out. IMHO - Good Luck!

If you click on the link I posted in my first response and make an account at fitday you'll be able to to track calories there. You can input what it is you have eaten and the site already the calorie value of most foods. You also have the ability toenter in the calorie values yourself if you eat anything from packets

1. too many shakes, not enough whole food protein
2. why are you only training legs once per week? is that a typo?
3. if you're not gaining weight, you're simply not eating enough.
4. another vote to setup a free fitday.com online account and track your food. you will need to weigh some stuff, and measure other stuff to do this accurately. Its annoying, but do it for a week and develop an eating 'routine', and then you'll just start to know what you are taking in each day.

you can multiply your weight in pounds by 19 (calories) for weight gain
for example 170 pound person should eat approximately 3250 calories daily to gain weight and as for protein shakes between meals is good and try eat a good diet and dont just rely on protein shakes for your protein source

from my experience, it is important to eat alot of high protein foods.
When I mean alot, i dont't mean having large meals, but rather smaller more frequent meals. Probably around every 3 hours or so.
