your body still looks really good!! I can relate to your story in so many ways Ive been in the 160s and as low as 113 before and still thought my body wasn't okayy. its crazy how distorted our own body image. I just started back on a healthy tack yesterday and Im struggling because Im so impatient i feel like barely wait for the weight to come off! You have a lot less weight to lose than I do and Im sure your determined enough and you will definitely do it!

Thanks! I know that it won't take me very long to lose it my problem is keeping it off! I hate going up and down! I think I have learned each time though. I first tried to get trim in a completely unhealthy way.. which threw my metabolism off so I regained the weight plus 20 pounds! It was extremely upsetting.

So the next time I tried I really did it healthy and I was doing great but I couldn't find the enthusiasm to keep going so this time I took advantage of a groupon deal to join a local rock climbing gym because I have always wanted to try it and I will use the deal when I can tell I am losing my motivation. So I am hoping the 3rd times the charm! I decided that while I don't have very much money to join a gym that its totally worth it because its about my health.

I am glad we are doing this together then! My first month was really bad. I would literally get angry when the scale didn't move lol but I am doing better the second month and without too much effort I am eating better. Hopefully we can motivate each other to keep going and to stop with the ups and downs!

You can do it!

Hi Tally,

I agree with thnkpositive, your body does still look really good. You have good muscle tone too which is important. I've been a yoyo dieter for so many years that I don't have any muscle tone in my stomach or in any other parts of my body.

"Honestly I look at these pictures and can't help thinking I didn't look perfect at 125 either. I see a little flab that I could not stand. Anyways I don't look bad but I didn't think I looked that great either. I feel like if it was someone else's body I would be envious but since its my own I am overly critical."

I understand that state of mind, but I see the pictures of you at 125 and I think you look amazing. I'm so jealous, I would do anything to look that good and lean.

I think its smart that you are pacing yourself in terms of incorporating the diet and fitness aspect of the program. As you start to get fitter your body will crave the change. I used to start off trying to do everything at once, and I would usually start cheating or slack off by the end of the week.
This time around I started cleaning up my diet first, and this past week I started to incorporate the exercises.

You have totally motivated me.

Keep at it, and you will reach your goals! :seeya:

Awesome! I'm glad it motivated someone! I definitely believe that p90x is gonna help with gaining muscle lol

I am really starting to appreciate muscle and I am trying to get bigger weights because I feel like a lot of things I don't like would be helped by gaining muscle. Mainly I don't like my arms so I am really trying hard to get past 10's into the 25 range :)

My first month I did still eat junk food but this month I have been less hungry so now I have to make every meal count so I can get lots of protein and nutrients. I always eat when I'm not doing any type of exercise so its a change of pace lol

Wow look at you go. Lifting weights @ the 25 pound range is pretty hard core. Hehe I'm still using just 3 pounds. I will upgrade to the 4-5 pound mark. I think 5 lb weights would be ideal for me. 10 pounds are way too heavy for me to successfully pull off the exercises so I tip my hat off to you.

Muscle is totally the key to revving up our metabolisms and burning more calories, even at rest.

I find I'm still slipping up when it comes to the diet aspect. I'm glad to see that in phase two your appetite has gone down and your making your meals count with healthy nutrients.

Yay! keep up the good work. Spring is right around the corner.. then yikes June will be here before we know it. Let's do the work now so we can enjoy our new toned bodies for the summer.
