I have always struggled with my weight. I was in the military when I was 19 to 24; after that I gained over 75 pounds and was around 260 and a size 24. I lost a large amount was in great shape 175 pounds and did a Mini Marathon. I started going back to college, met a great man and remarried and ended up with 3 kids total been us both....on top of that I work full time. Needless to say my stress eating kicked in and with a 40 hour a week sit down job and 20 hours a week at home working on homework the weight slowly crept back on. I got back up to 235.....how could I after everything I worked so hard for :argue:....

I have 4 weeks left of school before I complete my degree....I have slowly started taking some weight off and am down to 226. I have slowly started putting healthier foods back into my diet and try to stick with simple rules such as 50% fruit and vegetables for my daily food intake and smaller portions. In 4 weeks I am taking my 20 hours a week I spend on homework and am going to get my butt out of the house and start exercising.

Wish me luck. Hopefully this forum will allow me to vent, encourage myself and motivate. This time it is life changes, not a diet.

I'm just so tired of....well.....being tired.

Hi Smiles - congrats on making the decision to start putting healthy food back into your life. I know what you mean by tired of being tired. One day, something just snapped in me and I was just tired of being fat! And I decided to change that immediately.

Good luck on your journey and we'll be here to support you in achieving your goal. We're in this together.
