Chocolate. I still can't have just one piece, I need to have it all. So I stay away from it.
Other than that, I think I'm starting to get the hang of portion control....even though I over-ate on Lasagne last night. It's one of my weak points, like the Chinese is for you. BUT - I know how to make it myself now, so I will just make smaller portions from now on. If it's not there, I can't eat it.
But it can still be very difficult sometimes....
same here do loveeeeeeeeee my choccie!!!
but like i said somewhere on here y/day found its cheese & bread finding harder to cut down on...
as for chocolate...have you tried the choc options drinks (very low cal) or my fave the light chocolate horlicks?? these are about twice the cals of the options but they have lots of B vits in too & are more filling so i tend to have those than the options ones. i make a point of having my choccie horlicks in a big fancy cup with a saucer (you know the type you can put soup in too) & then i sit down & relax with it...is it better than say...a bar of yorkie choc & raisin/a bounty/a snickers/a galaxy ripple or a bag of revels???? NO!!!! but it won't add to the extra choc curves i'm already trying to get rid of either!!!
btw i have just named all my fave choc bars above....i'm obviously a masochist at heart!!! but RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW i can honestly say i won't be buying or eating any tonight...& i'm quite certain not tomorrow either...as with any addiction (i use chocolate favoured body lotion FGS!!!/light choccie fragranced candles & have been known to use chocolate flavoured coffee beans!!!??) you just have to take it ONE DAY AT A TIME baby!!!!
ps only a fellow chocoholic could understand this...but i often have to literally talk myself out of it...i say things to myself like...
back away from the cookie tin/cupboard/fridge missy!!!!
its no big deal...you already know what it tastes like...you'll eat it & think yum!! then a little while later you'll think...i could have resisted that
been there....done it...got the extra pounds to prove it...
chocolate does not control me!!!
chocolate does not control me!!!
chocolate does not control me!!! etc etc...
sounding completely doolally in the process of course!!! but it helps...honestly it does!!!
plus if you're totally craving but really don't want to cave...put some music on & quickly dance about...but you have to do it like a total loon (think phoebe running through the park in friends!! LOL) with utter abandon not giving a stuff about what you look like or what others think...just throw your arms in the air/twirl about & laugh about how daft it is that such an significant little thing as a bar of chocolate can hold such sway over us!!!
