Hehehe... You crack me up girl!
WAY TO GO on the big WHOOSH!!!!
oh wow that is crazy!
have you checked the bulk bins? sometimes they have stuff that isn't sold in packages.
and i love salted nuts, yummy, but oh so horrible for you lol
ENJOY THE WOOOSH!!! CAVORT IN THE SELF SATISFACTION OF ACHIEVEMENT!!!
or as I would put it "girl, you got YA MOJO RATTLIN'!!!"
Big grins and hugs going out to you - keep it up, I know you can!!
It's weird but in a strange way I feel almost jealous of you that you are at the beginning part where it is so exciting to see the big whooshes. Not that I ever want to be there again and don't intend to be but I found it so much fun to see the weight dropping off week by week. I think that is why I am concentrating on the getting fit now as that is much more motivating than trying to shift the last few stubborn lbs. I'm glad that I found these forums so that I can live it all again through other people![]()

Hi Jana....just catching up in your thread.
You mentioned no longer being tired after eating...it just reminded me how tired I used to get after dinner....when I used to lay on the couch nd ignore the kids and wife till I passed out. What a lazy a$$! lol
Now I eat and feel energized...I want to do something.
Thanks for the memory.
Hey I finnaly got all caught up reading your diary and I am very much enjoying it. You have a way with words and I love your sense of humour and how positive you are...I was feeling kinda low this week since i just came back from holiday and my brain and body are just not following my usuall routine, but after reading this I want to work out! I feel like just getting on the pc here at work and start that kick boxing video but since I am at the front desk I will wait till I get home!!! Thank you for the motivation and Congrats on the loss so far....I will be joining you on this journey if you don't mind!!!!
Popped by and seen you had a great loss! Way to go!
Keep up the great work!
I'll catch up on Sunday!
LOL Jana...I actually have quite a pronounced english accent so "Get your mojo rattlin'" wouldn't sound QUITE the same in real lifeheheheh
I'm just so glad that you are feeling so positive and motivated - that will carry you a LONG way through any blips and tough bits. So, stay strong, think of how great you are feeling in the WHOOOSH and continue to make the right choices in all those everyday little moments thatmake the difference![]()
Where were you born? I was born and lived the first 25 years of my life in Luton, Bedfordshire.Do you know what? I used to have an English accent. I was born in Bedfordshire, England. I moved to the United States when I was 9 years old and lost the accent and now I sound just like every other American.![]()

Your meals look lovely. It's amazing what delicious meals you can make with so few calories.
I live in Luton, Bedfordshire for half the year going to uni, small world
Keep up the good work!!
Because I am terribly proud of myself, I started photographing some of my meals since the beginning of this week. I even created an album for them on photobucket.I just wanted to be able to keep track of my progress and thought this was the best way.

And let's not forgot my first year in school in the US, when I requested a rubber from my teacher. She was, needless to say, quite devastated believing I was asking for a condom, until I gestured at her eraser and she very firmly explained that I was never to call it a rubber ever again. It took me a while to figure out why it had upset her so much.
Oh, YUM! The asparagus looks to die for! Will you share your recipe?
ROFLMAO!!! Too funny! I have a male friend who got a job teaching history at an all girl's school just a few years out of college (about 30 years ago) and he said a girl came up to his desk one day and told him she was bleeding. So he reaches into his desk and hands her a band aid from his little first aid kit. She just looked at it and said that's not going to work - I got my period! He was a very sheltered single child and did not know anything about stuff like that. He said he was never so mortified in his entire life and thought that they really needed to include stuff like that in a college course or something when you are studying to be a teacher!

If you can call it a recipe. I was just like "Hmmm... there's a lot of asparagus in the fridge. What should I do with it?" and essentially tossed spices at random upon it.
Ingredients:
300 g of Fresh Asparagus
20 g Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 oz Parmesan Cheese
5 g Lemon Juice (which I actually incorrectly wrote down as 5oz of lemon juice, but I know there's no way I drowned it in that much lemon juice.)
About a tablespoon mixture of thyme, rosemary, sage, oregano, and basil (like I said, I really was just tossing them in there so I'm not exactly sure how much)
Instructions: ..... (deleted to shorten quote)
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!! Guess what we are having with supper tonight?Except I will use green beans for the kids (they hate asparagus) and prepare it the same way as the asparagus which my husband and I will have. I'll be making my outside on the grill though (I have a grilling wok) because it's way too hot to cook indoors the last few days!
