I'm of average weight for my height, but I don't feel comfortable enough in my own skin. I am thinking of losing 15 more lbs to be at my goal weight...Which doesn't seem like much, but it is very hard for me to even lose 2 pounds. :[

I need to tone up a lot...Can you guys please give me suggestions on what exercises/cardio I can do to get a good enough body?

Please help me! Thank you so much!

spend some time readint the stickied threads - especially in nutrition, on topic and exercise.

"toning up" is the by product of fat loss...

what does your food plan and exercise plan look like?

Looks like we are in the same boat! I worked my butt off last week eating healthy and working out at least an hour a day and only lost 1.5 lbs.. When you don't have too much to lose it can be very discouraging! Just stick with it and maybe we will get some results! From what I have read.. You have to do cardio to burn the fat but weights and strength training are necessary too and also are great fat burners.. Good luck!

How tall are you? What is your starting weight? What is your diet and exercise plan?

You have great curves! Are you sure you want to lose them??

Do you belong to a gym?

And as someone noted above, NOT focusing on the scale would be ideal given your situation; that being in the position where there's not a lot of fat to lose.

I find that my own body is toning up quicker from just plain running. Also I like the 10 minute solution dvd for the ball. I can really see the difference in my arms. You will look fantastic once you tone up!

Thanks so much for your comments, everyone. :)

I'm 5'1 and around 127 lbs. I have a normal BMI but I still feel really flabby and gross in a bikini. I'm not sure how much I need to lose to look "all right". Everyone my height is always around 100 pounds...which is incredibly depressing.

I eat a low calorie breakfast-- always less than 300. Then since I eat so early in school for lunch I only eat around 200 calories. After school I have a bigger meal, perhaps around 300-ish calories. When dinner come around I just eat whatever we're having but cut it in half.

hope it helps

My meal plan:
7am breakfast: 2 eggs on toast or a half bowl low cal cereal. either one with fruit. orange, apple, peach, or pear... your choice.

snack: same group of fruit

Lunch: 2 cups lettuce and 6 oz of chicken breat or can tuna in water also same group of fruit.

Dinner: 8 oz protien: chicken, fish or beef. Salad 2 cups or 1/2 cup steamed veggies.

Never have: carrots, onions, or more than 1 starch daily.

Starch = 2 slices 40 cal bread or 1 bake potato.

Foods never fried.

Water = 80 oz but never less than that.

dieating now 5 weeks and total loss = 32 pounds with 20 more to go.

I can understand your problem. I find that toning the body is quite difficult. I'm starting to do some running now, hopefully I can lose about 10 pounds for the summer.

@Mrshadow37... your meal plan sounds really good.

Try to eat more early in the day so you don't eat as much later. Make sure you eat a good breakfast so your metabolism starts for the day, don't skip it. Eat as early as you can. Don't drink anything but water/juice/tea type of thing, no soda or fatty drinks. Eat every 2-3 hours to keep the body burning and try to do at least a couple hours of cardio a week. Running, Biking, Swimming, Elliptical, anything to keep the heart rate up. Do that for a month and even if the scale doesn't move that much, (Since you don't have that much to lose) I bet you'll be more *tone* as you put it.

Even with all that said I think your body is great as is, but if you want to shed a few lbs it wouldn't hurt. Just don't get to crazy with it.

LoL... sorry, had to point out you lost 1% of your body weight... I know people who'd KILL for 1.5 lbs (not that they should focus on numbers, but nonetheless, you can't always change mindset). What you lost was normal... and in NO way should be discouraging. You might want to rethink your goals if that kind of loss isn't positive to you.

Pictures? Measurements? Clothes fitting? Those might be better goals than the scale mentality.
