Toning problems

Hi! I'm in the process of toning my bod - it's going great, except that the left side of my back and pectorals are toning really well (my left boob is getting perkier), and the right side is much less toned (very little differance from before I started toning - in my right boob). I'm trying to isolate my right side, and give my left side a break, but I'm not sure I really know how to do that correctly. Anybody have any suggestions?

Hi Leah...First off, welcome to the forum. If you can post your workout/diet, I think we would be better able to assist you. :)

Awsome :)

As for my diet - I am a vegetarian, and I've been doing the Weight Watchers diet. I've lost about 27 pounds since January.

My work out routine consists of TaiBo videos 4 days a week, a half an hour on an exersize bike two to three days a week, and occasionally swimming and walking.

I don't do any weight lifting right now, but have considered it.

I hope that gives you enough info :)

Thanks!

Leah

Women can be a little wacky with the perspective on their bodies, but if you’re not imagining this then I would recommend weight training to try and even you out. It’s good for everyone and can benefit you in other ways, too. Talk to an expert or trainer at a gym or something.

That's why they recommend working muscles equally and oppositely. You should not only focus on working both the right and left sides of the body, but also the front and backs of muscles, too. Say your thighs get a lot of definition on the front and back from the motions of walking or stepping, but what about the inner and outer thighs? Gotta do extra moves, like leg lefts and using the “thigh master”, to tone those, too.
