Today is my Tomorrow

Well I think this is the umpteenth time that i have tried to loose my weight. I can't even count the times that I have tried.

I do know what has started it thought. I moved to Florida two years ago. Since I have not had one date, not even any real canidates. My younger brother has come down for vacation a few weeks ago (4 years younger) and we went out this past weekend. Well come to find out a girl I could have seen myself dating thinks hes cute blah blah blah. I blame no one but myself. I have let myself go and I understand why girls would not find me attractive.

This is day 3 of my diet. I have not weighed myself yet, dont really know what I am waiting for. I just want to see results and feel better about myself, fit into close comfortably.

I wrote down some goals for myself the other day while at work and here they are :

1: To comfortably wear and feel good in my Ny Giants Micheal Strahan jersey by sept first.

2: loose 50 lbs by new years

3: be able to run a mile nonstop (I know this is easy enough for a lot of people but I cant run for more then 30 seconds straight. My middle school time was 11 minutes :))

I will try and keep up with the diary more then in the past. this isnt my strong suit.

And so the journey begins AGAIN :rant:
 
Alright a brand new day to start. Its nice and sunny here in Florida listening to some good music and I feel pretty good. I work from 10-6 and will prob have some subway for lunch and I think some chicken for dinner. I hate planning my meals like this cause it almost makes me feel like I am obsessing.

I hope I just take this diet one meal at a time, cause really thats all I can do. I am trying to surround myself with nothing but good things and snack on good healthier snacks. I could probably use a little more fruit around here though :willy_nilly:.

I will probably let everyone know how I did tonight and I wish everyone else luck. Have a great day.

I can relate - this is my millionth diet too haha.

Alright, just got back from dinner. all you can eat chicken and sliced pork.:ack2:

but its alright i just got it cause it was the same price as the half chicken meal but it comes with unlimited sides (veggies). I ate a couple pieces of chicken and some pork with a baked potato and corn. not to to bad. I think I am gonna go for a walk tonight though, we will see when the time comes.

I also need to purchase a scale to weigh myself. maybe tonight.
 
Alright another day gone without a hitch. I feel good with myself that I am sticking to a pretty strict diet and not straying to far from it.

for breakfast I started out with a yogurt, a piece of 12 grain toast with a little peanut butter.

for Lunch I had a 6 inch club on wheat bread, a bag of lays baked chips.

for dinner I had a portion of teryaki salmon, roughly a cup of rice with veggies.

Thats it for the day. I feel pretty full for the most day. I think the biggest thing was that i drank a bunch of water. Probably close to a gallon or two.

Tomorrow I am going on a 14 mile bike ride weather pending. wish me luck.
 
today is my weigh in day. I am sorta excited cause I have been on a diet for almost a week now and I know I have lost some weight. I usually weigh myself at the beginning but I didnt have batteries for the scale so i just put off weighing myself. and I think it actually helped my start. wish me luck I am sure I will update you guys.

Thanks for the kind words Allie. :) I have a good feeling about this time all thought I have had this feeling before but i hope I learned from my previous mistakes. I really would "starve" myself and then wonder why I would binge and ruin everything.
 
Alright everyone...I finally went and picked up a battery. *drum roll*

my official weight as of now is 277.

I am actually proud of this number. the last 5 times I have tried to lose weight I have been in the 290's. I guess almost a week of dieting and not knowing my weight has paid off. I cant wait to get into the 260's then the 250's then the 240's then the 230's then the 220's then the 210's then the 190's!!! I hope I mow them down 10 lbs at a time.

so 277 is my weight. lets hope it goes down from here.
 
Also give yourself a starting set ofm easurements as well...

We all tend to get really hung up on the scale and the numbers that gives us - the scale can sometimes be misleading...

measurements are what they are and are a far better assessment of what you're doing and how you're progressing...

No need to hope it goes down... Consistent behavior.. Lifestyle change... Reasonable calories (not too low - seriously) and mdoerate exercise... Regularly and it WILL Go down..

No luck needed -no hope needed - just a little belief in yourself and a readiness to change behavior...

alright, finished the day pretty strong I think.

For lunch I had a baked potato with chili and a salad.

for dinner i had a steamed shrimp sushi roll with crab meat and cucumbers.

drank lots of water. another day in the books.
 
wow what a tough day. just when i think everything is going smoothly i get thrown a curve ball. I have made good choices today but it feels like I am on the verge of breaking it wide open. I just have to eat dinner and I will be fine it is cooking now. ehhh.
 
Hey just an update. I have been doing good since I started.

but heres a question. My clothes fit a lot better but on the scale it shows I have gained a pound. I am not working out so it cant be muscle weight. I can comfortably button up my shirts now before i couldent. and my shorts are starting to feel loose. whats the deal?

Alright new update. I failed at my initial goals from when i started this diary. I am going to try and be positive about it though and go from there. here is a questionare i stole from someones blog.


What is your current height and weight?

5'11 300ish? not positive yet.

If you were at an ideal weight now, what would that weight be?
200

At what weight would you like to be at four months from now?
I would love to be at 260lbs.

Why do you want to lose weight?

I would like to feel better about myself, show that I can control something in my life. Fit into all my clothes again.

Do you want to lose weight for a specific life event such as wedding or reunion? If so, when is that event?
No deadline, no event, well maybe when I go home for christmas but I wasnt thinking about that.

What obstacles could get between you and your weight loss goals?

Why do you think that you now have a weight problem?
Can start to feel the begginging of what I think to be health problems. chest pains back pains and defiently clothes not fitting.

What lifestyle changes do you think would help you lose weight?
do some activity. i started playing softball but i need to try to do something daily or every other day.

Have you lost weight in the past? If so, what has worked in the past to help you lose weight?
I lost probably 70 lbs before when I was in highschool. but thats when I was on the wrestling team and worked out everyday.

Why do you believe that you did not lose weight or you gained the weight back?
I suffered a hurniated disk in my senior year of football. was off my feet for a while and never looked back.

What, if anything, has not worked for you in the past in helping you to lose weight? Why do you think it did not work?
trying to cut down alot has not worked for me in the past without excercising. I would lose an initial set of lbs but always place it back on.

Would you try writing down all food and drink consumed for a given period of time?
This seems like such a pain in the arse.

Do you cook at home often? If so, what do you cook?
chicken shrimp, beef, you name it. and probably 4-5 times a week for dinner.

How often do you go out to eat? Where do you go?
To often. Past few months I would truly have to say once or twice a day everyday.

chinese, italian, cheese :)

Ichiban, Carabas, and kings

What are three things you can do differently when it comes to food?
Not eat out as much.
Buy healthier options.
Prepare a lunch.

If you woke up tomorrow and your body was exactly the way you want it, what would be different?
I would probably go buy the tightest shirt i could find and walk around at the mall all day.....No but really I would like to think i have better confidence (specially with the ladies) and I would hang out with my friends alot more. I do avoid group settings when I can. my friends probably think I hate them.

Definetly, I am thinking of what im going to have for breakfast right now.

sure do, buffets, large pizzas, you name it.

Do you hide your food or eat in secret?

from my family, yeah.

definetly, and the sad this is its mostly when I think about my wait, go figure.

not really.

not to much.

its usually another meal :(

In terms of exercise, what, if anything, are you currently doing?

softball every sunday and monday. but i need to do more.

no where yet.

walking, free weights, and hiking

Do you have rewards for certain goals?
yeah when i am doing good its usually clothes or maybe a nice dinner :)
