Have you lost 130 or more pounds? How is your life now compared to then? Are you satisfied with how you look now? I just want to talk to other people who have lost a lot of weight.

Well, I've lost 150lbs. And yeah, things change. The way people see you is a big one...

The way they act, including sexually is very different.

I have always been very overweight, until about the last year when I decided it was time to make a change. (I've lost about 135 lbs in 10 months)

You will feel like doing things you never dreamed of doing before, all the times I felt embarrassed or shunned to do even mundane tasks now dont even cross my mind. It was like a huge burden was lifted off my shoulders, literally and figuratively. Before I always thought everyone was looking at me, now it feels like I fit in. It is definitely the best thing that I have ever done in my life.

Am I satisfied with how I look? Not exactly, but I work at it every day to improve my image and more importantly gain confidence in myself.

life is entirely diff 150 lbs down!

i have 2 jobs, one being a fire fighter and other web design. women actually hit on me and i am way more confident! and funny enough my stomach doesnt show that i was once HUGE!

WOW JEREMY! Hell of a transformation.

I lost 110 pounds so I guess I don't count? (hehe) But I have to say, you are a completely different person. You don't notice it so much because losing weight is gradual. But people that you haven't seen in a long time will go WOAH.

My friend's brother just stared at me on day in line at the movie theater. "Brad..." I looked down at him. "You've lost weight! ... not like some weight... DRASTIC!"

hahaha

thanks boss!

Those of you that have lost over 100 lb's amaze the hell out of me. I've struggled so much with just 70 so far. I love you guys. I am so impressed. :grouphug:hah

I can't really be included in this but even just loosing what I have... people treat me SO differently...

I have "only" lost about 100, but still have about 20 to go. I am a somewhat skinny fat so when I look in the mirror I don't fully notice the change to my body.

But man, when I run in to people who I haven't seen in a few years they are like DAMN! Which is fun.

Also, I am just flat more active now. I hate just sitting around the house, or a vast majority of the things that I used to enjoy doing, such as playing video games 6 hours a day and watching TV the other 6.

And lets be honest here, I am sure everyone has their reasons for losing weight, and did it for themselves and blah blah blah, but I assume for young males a large reason in losing weight is to get the girls.

In this regard it has helped tremendously. Somewhere in the last 20 lbs or so the girls really started taking notice which is great.

I deal with some lose skin issues, and definitely don't look great with my shirt off, but clothed I look pretty damn good. My experience has been that usually a girl, no matter how hot she is, is at least as self conscious about her body as I am about mine so its a wash. Furthermore, once you both are naked and in bed, its kind of past the point of no return, lol.

I've lost 170 pounds and it seems like nothing . . . I'm definitely not satisfied. When I was 300 pounds I didn't feel as fat as I feel right now, regardless of the massive pounds lost.

I'd like to lose 20-30 more pounds (I'm short- and would be at a healthy weight even if I lost the 20-30 more pounds, btw)-

Life has changed now- b/c of how obsessed with nutrition and exercise I am now just to maintain my weight- and attempt to lose the rest on top of that. My lifestyle has changed in that way alone.

People treat me better though- which is good. I don't get blamed for all of earth's earthquakes anymore, at least. =P

How common is the loose skin issue among those who have lost so much weight?

I have about 70 pounds to lose (I already lost 25), and I am very concerned about loose skin because I don't have the money for surgery :(

I've lost 170 pounds- I'm still losing- and I barely have any lose skin at all. You can't even tell that my body used to be COVERED in stretch marks b/c they've all faded so much, as well-

+and+ If I had the money for a surgery [just thousands of extra dollars that I have nothing else better to do with .. ha!] I definitely wouldn't get one.. way too scary and isn't even worth all the risks and money-
I lost weight to take care of my body- not have it sliced open in cosmetic surgery~ you know?

So don't stress it <3

To the people who say they don't notice a change in their bodies from 30-100 lbs, you have to be kidding me. It's a mental thing for you. Take some pictures, front, side, back... you will definitely notice the difference even if you don't "feel" like it. That's way too much weight gone to not notice.

Heck, I can notice a change with 5 lbs gone...

That's really encouraging. I looked at your before and after you look great :) You look young though? I am guessing in your teens? I'm 25, and I've read that the older you are the less likely for skin to rebound.

How quickly did you lose the weight? I have been loosing about 3 pounds a week so far, but I am thinking of slowing it down to 1 pound a week to decrease the likelihood of loose skin.

I've lost 230lbs naturally and life is awsome. You basically get a new lease on life when you loose the weight. I want to loose about 30 more pounds...but where I am today...I couldn't be happier.

You all inspire me. I can't even put into words how much I admire what you've done and how much it makes me feel that I can do it too if I work hard enough. Thank you. :)

How long did it take you to lose that much weight?

I can tell you for a fact that if someone is fat enough then no, 30 pounds will not be noticeable. At my size I will probably have to lose AT LEAST 50 pounds before it's noticeable.
