To day is the DAY!

:pumpkin:Today I make up for the office party yesterday. Boy we had great food. I do well most of the time so I am not going to beat myself up for a really bad lunch. But I did not eat a pumpkin whoopie pie with cream cheese filling. So that was pretty good of me. However the mac and cheese with a side of meatballs not so good. Oh yeah a handful of chips with clam dip. So like I said today I kick my own ass. I have go shopping for an elderly couple I take care of and then I am off to the mountain. I hope to hike more than 3 miles today. It is a short hike but it will be a good one to make me think about everything I put in my mouth yesterday. I will let you know how I made out. Thank you! It is great the amount of support you get around here. It has been a hard weekend not allot of exercise and toooooo much unhealthy foods. I try to allow myself one day of week to be my day to eat or drink what I want. But that is always with exercise also so I don't completely hate myself. Well as you remember on Thursday I had unhealthy eating all day. That should have been my one day of bad stuff. But oh no I had to carry it into Saturday. So today is Sunday and with that starts a new week and a new outlook. I will try my best everyday to make the right decisions everyday and forget about the bad stuff from the past week. The key is not repeating the behavior it is great to start over but your can't start over and do the same bad things. So wish me luck. Tina:nopity:
 
Boy I can't get going today. I woke up late and it has seemed to mess my whole system up. I hate that. I guess I stayed up to late watching the Rays last night. We wont talk about it. So anyway I plan on getting my walk in as soon as I sake the cobwebs out of my head. I plan on starting to get back into running today. I don't think it is going to be pretty. I will not give up tho! So I will check in later to let you know how I did. Tina:puke:
 
So today has been really good for me. I eat a great breakfast (oatmeal with craisins and walnuts added) and a portion of a chicken breast for lunch. And the best part so far is I did a 4 mile walk in one hour. I ran a little and walked a little. What a great day! Tina:hurray:
 
4 miles in an hour is great! Way to go!!

I average 3 an hour (walking fast).... have to really run a little to squeeze in four. Good work!

Hello all.
I had a good day with my eating. I think I need to look more closely at my portion sizes. My problem is I like large amounts of food. I wish I could eat unlimited amounts of the good stuff. But even veggies have calories and they need to be counted. I don't think one should have to count then because I can eat a butt load of them. lol So I need to get portions in control and that will be a goal for this week.

I am unable to run today due to the weather we are getting a nor easter. Which means 60 mile winds yuck. Hate this time of year. So I will hit it hard tomorrow if it is better outside. My legs really hurt from yesterdays 4 miles of running and speed walking. But I really was hoping I could get in least a brisk walk today.

I am feeling blah again today not able to exercise. The place where it would be safe for me to run had a soccer game. It gets dark here so early and the place where I go to run is not safe after dark. So I am going to start going to the track but not tonight. I am going to go tomorrow for sure there will be nothing going on there. Soccer is almost over and I will be able to use the track.
We are lucky that the school allows the public to use the track but you cannot during a school function. It really sucks because you get a really good routine and then you loose your wind. It is like starting all over again. I really need to get up off my pocket book and buy a membership to a club.

The club where I would feel the most comfortable has limited exercise equipment. It is small but it will do for me. I have workout at larger places and you still have to wait for the equipment you want. Especially in the key times that I would be using it. Rural Maine sometimes sucks.

I really need to stop with the excuses and just go. My biggest problem is I love being outside in the fresh air. The weekends are so easy for me I can go outside during the day and even tho it is chilly at least you have light. After work is the pits because it is so dark here now at 5:00.

:rant:All right I am done tomorrow a new day and I will make something work.
But anyway for today really only messed up once. A coworker gave us all a package of fun size m&ms. Not allot in the the little bag but enough to make you think damn is it worth the guilt? But other than that I have not strayed from the food I have taken in to eat.

Well I was very bad over the weekend. We ate out allot and I drank also. Not happy with myself right now. So I decided that I need to give myself a challenge for Christmas. I want to loose a pound a week between now and Christmas. Why can't I achieve that? So now starting today I am done with feeling sorry for myself and I am going to beat this goal! Christmas is round the corner, and with this goal u'd lose a LOT before that.. cant wait for that to happen :) :D

I have had a pretty good week. I have exercised although I could not last night due to rain (pouring rain). I did better on eating but still room for improvement. There is always room for improvement. I am going to really concentrate on my eating and drinking this weekend. I don't like how I feel at the end of the weekend so it is not worth it. Thanks much you always give me the shot in the arm I need. I had a great weekend. I don't feel like I did too badly. I resisted baked goods at the craft fair I was in. I ate healthy pretty much all weekend. I did have pizza Saturday night. But it fit within my eating for the day. So all in all I feel pretty good. I am getting ready to go for a run. Hope I can get it in it looks like rain. Talk more later. Tina

i had the most stressful week... with loadz a stay overs and loadza sleepless nights.. thankfully the stress dint get me into over eating..

Hello! Sounds like you are doing great! I was under the weather last week. I had some kind of stomach flu. I feel much better now. I did not get to exercise as much as I wanted but on the other hand I did not feel like eating much. So all in all I think it has evened out. Today I will do my usually run with my beautiful dog. (Love that dog!) My getting healthy has really benefited my yellow lab. She goes with me when I hike and run.

I hope you have a great week. And thanks for checking in on me from time to time. It makes it so much easier when you can connect with people going thru the same things. Tina:hurray:
