Tired of being the girl with a pretty face.

Hey everyone,
I'm a 17 year old girl that hates being the girl with the pretty face and awesome personality. Ive been on this site a few times now searching for inspiration, it has helped me a lot so far. Currently I am 212 pounds, I hate to put that but I am gonna face the reality of it. Recently I started my weight loss journey in April I than lost 20 pounds but have gained 2 pounds back. My plan to keep loosing weight is going to be gym every day, tons of cardio followed by weight resistance training as well as as many classes that fit into my schedule. I also am going to be planning ahead for meals and will be eating mostly rice, lean chicken and protein shakes too, with tons of fruits and veggies oh and water too. I hope that this site will help hold me accountable for my actions and keep me inspired to keep going when the going gets tough. I am 5'9 and 212 pounds eventually I would like to be in the 150-160 range (closer to 150 though, go hard or go home!). Anyways I'm really exited to start my healthy lifestyle once again and this site has proven that anyone can do it. I hope to post some pictures but am new on this site so I have no idea how to yet lol. Hopefully I will make some friends on this site that will help me though the tough cravings and days that I want to give up.

Don't be worried about using that number. None of us are going to judge you and we're all going through the same thing. :)

And trust me, being here does help hold you accountable for so many reasons. It works wonders for me. And sometimes it is just great to have an outlet because at times losing weight can be hard and frustrating and a support system really helps to keep you from giving up at times like that. :)

Welcome to the forum and the best luck. You CAN do it. We all can with the commitment and hard work put into it. :)

Thank you so much! Everyone on this site seems to be so supportive of each other, I had friends that go to the gym with me sometimes but they don't really understand me the way that people do that are going through the same emotions as me, thanks again :) I appreciate it
 
Good luck Alex - I'm sure with perseverance and a bit of hard work you can get there!! I know exactly what you mean about being the girl with the pretty face and great personality...and always feeling that if only you lost the weight...so many of us have been there and as someone who is half way through the journey, all I can say is that its been worth it - I just wish I'd started a couple of years back!
