Awesome running!

Glad the stairs are getting easier. Running will do that for you.

That's the first time I've heard the word "parkade". I get its meaning, but it is odd to my ears. I assume it is a parking garage since it has stairs. It combines the words park and arcade. Here park the verb is putting your car in a space, but park the noun is where you go to play frisbee or play on the swings. An arcade is a place full of video games. These all lead me to the following questions.

1. Is parking garage an odd term to you?
2. What do you call parks (the public spaces with playgrounds etc.)?
3. What do you call arcades (room(s) of coin operated video games)?

Thanks guys.
I think I had the 'parkade' discussion with MrVee at some point. It is apparently a very canadian word, my computer and phone both tell me it's not a word, and I'm like 'uh yes it is'.
1. Parking garage isn't an odd term, but I would usually say parkade or underground parking. I would probably use parking garage only for above ground parking but still would prob say parkade.
2. Parks are parks
3. Arcades are arcades

161.8 this morning. Don't get too excited. Since I had the day off I only weighed at 11am when I got out of bed and so I weighed lighter than I likely would have if I weighed at my usual 7:30am time.
Did my circuit training. Ugh I hate it so much. I also have a really hard time pushing myself as hard as I should. Sure I'm sweating and breathing hard and my muscles are wobbling, but I still feel like I can really push myself more to improve better. Some things were harder today since I only did my circuit training once I think last week. However I managed to do both my jumping jacks and my planks all the way through for their entire time frame which I had never done before. The plank really surprised me. I was doing 30 seconds, then taking a break till there's 25 seconds left, then holding it till there's 15 seconds left, then taking a break till there's 10 seconds left then hardly holding on till the end (total of 1 minute). So when I did it all the way through till the end and really hardly felt it till the last 10 seconds it was a clear improvement. Thank you yoga.
About to head off to the barn to get ready for my lesson.
Having to end up working on Saturday :( We're booking too far out on Saturdays so I have to pick up the slack so people don't try to go somewhere else because 'they can't wait that long' for an appointment.

Thank you.
After I was done working out I came back to my place and decided to deal with my lights situation. My kitchen lights have slowly been dying out one at a time. I ended up with just one light working, but my chandelier in my 'dining area' lit up the room enough to work (despite a couple of their bulbs not working). Then my light over my desk died, then my last kitchen light died. So the only lights I had in the living areas of my house were my front light, and my chandelier. At night that made my kitchen pretty dark, haha. So I found 2 new lights for my kitchen and put them in, unfortunately didn't have lights for the one over my desk. But now I have enough light to work with. I also cleaned up my kitchen. I'd been keeping my house clean for like 8 months of something (which is hard for me, I tend to live like a hoarder), but with working out so much and having later evenings because of it I haven't had the energy to clean up so much. Happy it's looking cleaner again.
Moved and set up a bunch of jumps for my lesson today. Geez, that does get you warm. Had a fairly good riding lesson.
Just relaxed the rest of the evening. So excited I found the recipe for the chicken wraps. Really enjoying them! Had them for lunch and supper!!
Took some 'progress' pics after my workout today. Will try to take them about once a month to see the progress. I, of course, slightly regret not taking pics at the beginning of January when I started, but I really didn't want to know what I looked like then!

Lunch: Chicken wrap
Supper: 2 chicken wraps
Snacks: 2 Kinder chocolate bars, white cheddar popcorn
Total Cals: 1453

:D Sounds terribly familiar! Living without lights too, by the way ;) Good job of getting boring but necessary stuff done!

Kind of funny about the lights - just not interested in changing the bulbs?

I need to start tracking my progress, too, now that I'm making some....

Thanks guys.
Had a long, very busy day at work today. I was very tired by the end of the day and didn't feel like doing anything after work. No riding and no working out. I decided it looked like I would have time on Saturday between work and my nephew's bday party to ride and workout so could still get my 5 days of workout.
Got home and just relaxed. Ate my supper. Got to talking on FB with a friend just as I was about to have my snacks for the evening my friend was all like 'I gotta get on the treadmill soon' and I was like 'I was supposed to work out today but I'm not going to' and she was all like 'you should go work out, get dressed and go!' and I was like 'FINE, GOD, I HATE YOU!'
And so I ended up at 8:30pm going down to the gym and doing 35 mins on the treadmill. 2 min walk warm up, 5 min walk cool down. 28 straight mins of running, all at speed of 4.8 except the 1 min sprint at the end at a speed of 7. Total miles 2.68 (4.31kms) and cal burn of 393.
Weigh in is tomorrow. Looks like I may only get around 1 pound this week. Which isn't bad just makes it harder to make my goal. Even my mini goal may not be reachable, and my goal for the March challenge looks even less possible.

Lunch: Enchilada
Supper: Bagel with PB, Chicken Wrap
Snacks: 4 kinder bars
Total Cals: 1410

Great job going to the gym! Cherish that friend ;) Losing a pound per week is great, even if you don´t hit that goal. You can lose a battle and still win the war, your "mini" goal was a very ambitious one from the start! (That said, you still might make it, but the main thing is that you´re doing something that´ll keep you losing weight steadily and get you to a healthy weight in a healthy way.)

Kind of funny about the lights - just not interested in changing the bulbs?

We´re bachelors baby! I don´t know about Mystic but the first light that went is one you have to screw apart to change the bulb. For that you need a special screwdriver which I have to go get from the cellar. I hate hate hate going there when it´s dark outside because I don´t trust the two tiny lights that light the 30 meters or so I have to walk to get to my part of it, which makes winter a bad time for changing lights. The second one was built-in in the kitchen and I couldn´t figure out how to take it apart AT ALL. The third I changed but then the fourth went a week later and I was out of bulbs :D They´re all good now though.

Buy that friend a milkshake! Good job on using peer pressure to your favor.

Forgot about the bachelorhood thing. I think married couples work because men can reach lightbulbs but don't want to, and women want to change bulbs but can't reach them. At least that's how it works at my house, we have one bulb out in the kitchen that I've been ignoring.

I'll reply to your guys later. Just a quick weigh in. Decent drop. I think I cN make my mini goal with this but not my March challenge.

Starting weight: 183.5
Current Weight: 161.8 (-1.6)
First Mini Goal Weight: 160 by March 27
Second Mini Goal Weight: 144 by July 3
Final Goal Weigh: 125

Thanks guys.
As for the lights, shear laziness. It was light enough for me to see and that was good enough!
And it was lucky that I worked out yesterday because my day was longer today than it was yesterday. The workday wasn't too long, until I groomed my mom's dog, then did a little bit on my dog (mostly because I didn't feel like cleaning, so I pretended to do something that looked productive so my groomer would have to clean haha). Then I went to the barn and dragged out ALL THE BLOODY JUMPS!!!! Geez, that is SO much work. Then have to put them all bloody back again! By the time I did all that, and rode and have my horse put away it was just before 7pm. I had to stop at the bank and then picked up a 6inch sub at subway. Yum Yum. Got home around 7:30 and ate my sub. Felt very tired, especially in my legs so there was no working out.
Tomorrow I have to work the half day. I'm hoping to be off by 11 or at the latest 11:30, then I can get to the barn and ride, then get back to Hot Yoga at 3, so I can make it to my nephew's bday party (which I thought was at 5:30 but actually starts at 4:30).
Have my cals planned out for tomorrow to involve the pizza and (likely) cake for the party. 4 slices pizza, one of cake. Which should leave me with a decent amount of cals for sunday.

Lunch: 1/2 Enchilada
Supper: Subway
Snacks: 2 Kinder bar, white cheddar popcorn, 2 cookies
Total Cals: 1495

Someone´s being active! Sounds great, dragging jumps around seems to be a full-body workout so you´re saving a bit of time there ;)

Thanks. It's work, but not WORK.
161.4 this morning.
Had work today. Did not think that I would be off in time to get everything done in time. I had 4 dogs to groom, starting at 8am and needed to be off work by 11:30 to get everything done. Somehow, amazingly, I got all my dogs done on time and left work by 11:30.
Raced off to the barn to ride (eating a peanut butter 'granola' bar on the way). Managed to have a pretty decent ride. Was quite happy.
Had to leave the barn by 1:20 to make it to Yoga. Raced to my mom's house (eating my other 'granola' bar). Dropped my dog off and changed, before heading to hot yoga. It was a pretty good class. I only have till the 19th of March before my intro month is up and I have decide what I will do to pay for the classes (monthly, 10 class pass, etc.).
Went back to my mom's house and just had a lot of energy. I decided that I wanted to go for a bike ride! I went to the garage and spent like 10 mins trying to get my bike down from where it was, scraping my leg. I then had to fill the tires. One tire filled just fine, but unfortunately the front tires air thingie was bent and I could not get the tire to fill. And it was very flat. Unfortunately my mom's bike has a tire with a hole in it so that didn't work either. Aka. no bike ride for me. I decided then that I would go for a run. I had never used Nike+ app thing before but wanted to track my distance and speed. So I tried to get it to work, but all it kept saying for like 10 mins was 'walk around to activate the sensor' but the sensor never 'activated'. By the time that wasn't working I only had half an hour before I had to be at my nephew's bday party so I just called it in :(
Had a shower and change before heading to my nephew's bday party. I knew that they were going to have pizza so that's why I just had the 2 granola bars during the day. Was feeling pretty hungry so was very looking forward to it, especially since I haven't had pizza in a long time. And then I found out that they weren't have pizza, they were having lasagna :( It was good lasagna, but I was so looking forward to pizza. Had just one piece of lasagna, and a very small amount of caesar salad. I was hoping she was gonna get ice cream cake but she made a chocolate cake. I'm not a massive fan of chocolate cake, but it was pretty decent. Played with my nieces and nephews. It was good.
Since I had allotted cals for pizza then didn't have any I had quite a few cals I could still use. So on my way home I stopped at Marble Slab Creamery and got White Chocolate Ice cream with nerds, caramel, and cookie dough!

I may end up getting pizza tomorrow. I have about 2200 cals left for tomorrow. MFP says 5 slices of the pizza I usually get is around 1000 cals, so I would still have 1200 cals to eat for the rest of the day. Or I might stop at the horse show and get a pulled pork poutine (though I can imagine me getting there and them being out!)
I have a lesson tomorrow at 9:30am, which means I have to be up by around 8am which is FAR too early on a Sunday, especially since I didn't get to sleep in today. I think I'll try to go to a yoga class, it'd have to be at 4pm as that's the only class of the type I like to go to that is at a time I can work (the other's go during my riding lesson time). I'd also like to get in a run or circuit training.

Lunch: 2 peanut butter 'granola' bars
Supper: Lasagna and Caesar salad
Snack: Cake and ice cream
Total Cals: 2065

You're doing great MR!!! There's a free app called mapmyrun that is easy to use and will track different kinds of exercise. If you get your bike in working order, it will track biking, running, walking, etc.

Sometimes planning just doesn´t help, does it? But I think it´s great you didn´t throw in the towel when things didn´t go your way, good work!

Thanks guys. I'll check out that app!

Surprisingly 160.4 this morning. Need to keep getting those big drops to make my goals!
Up way too early this morning for my riding lesson. My horse was FANTASTIC and we had a great lesson!
Feeling very tired and hungry today. Not sure if I'll get in any other exercise than yoga. My back muscles are stiff from yoga from yesterday (well, the left half of my back muscles!) Gonna relax and have some lunch and then see how I feel.

It sounds like you broke through a plateau. That's great!!! Sometimes you work and watch your diet and the scales don't move for weeks then all of a sudden you get several good drops. Just know when you are stuck in a plateau that it will break, just stick with it and you'll get through.

It sounds like you've earned a rest day. Listen to your body, rest up, then you'll have the energy to hit it hard again.

You are so full of energy at the moment Mystic & continue to turn negatives into positives. Way to go! Well done on the new low sweets xo

Thanks guys.
After my fantastic lesson today (which included moving ALL the jump equipment out then back again) I was very lazy except for my yoga class. Almost had a hard time sticking within my cals, because I sat around so much. I did manage to stay in the green on them though.
I didn't get pizza. When I went to enter pizza into my cals for the day the entry that I found showed that it was higher than the entry I found yesterday, and I think today's entry was more correct. So I decided to get vietnamese instead. Maybe next weekend.
It's back to being cold again. I don't think it will last long, but it is snowing a bit. Didn't walk to yoga because of it though.

Lunch: Bagel with PB, Chicken wrap
Snack: 1 brownie square
Supper: Vietnamese
Snacks: 1/2 package jello (made), 3 kinder bars, white cheddar popcorn, 1 cookie.
Total Cals: 2265 (under weekly cals by 13)
