Time to take control

Hi
I'm new to this forum.

I'm trying to get healthy. I carry my weight on my middle which I know is really bad.
My Mum had a stroke at 53.
I love food (maybe a little too much) and I turn to food when I'm bored or pee'd off.
I'm a self confessed sugar addict.

I'm trying to cut out sugar and stick to 1200cals a day Mon-Fri then on weekend allow a bit extra and a cheat if I really need it.

I'm really looking for some guys to share with as I know support is key to me especially for the boredom and feeling down eating. It helps to keep or get back on track.

Thanks Mkeats :)

Hey Mkeats, welcome to the forum! Health is worth fighting for, so nice to have you join the fight. 1200 kcal is not a lot, by the way, even when losing weight, unless you´re older, petite and female. Care to tell us a little more about yourself? Good luck on your journey, looking forward to reading along.

Hi you were right on all 3 counts. Ha
I'm a 41 year old woman 5ft 3inches in height, a small frame and currently weigh 147lb.
I need to get to 133 lb a bit less if poss but let's aim on 133 for now.
Because I'm not hugely overweight it feels like I have to work really hard for each lb. I generally get to 138-139 and then stop losing get fed up and it starts creeping back on.

Welcome to WLF MK,
Well if you are looking for support you came to the right place.
A lot of great people here and a lot of good help and support when you need it.

Hope to hear and see more of you on a regular basis.

Good luck with your weight loss. We all believe you can do it...

:D 41 doesn´t count as "older"! I like the sound of your plan, seems healthy and realistic.

Well been tough. I've learned that I need a more substantial afternoon snack as by the time I get back and have to wait for hubs to get home for dinner that the temptation is too much. Going to get carrot and celery sticks with hummus for next week.
Hopefully not having snow on the ground making journeys stressful might help as well.
Oh well not getting down you live and learn
Off to the gym.
