Hmm .. this is my 5th time trying to post. I seem to have a fair bit of trouble getting the text box to come up, and it all vanishes when I want to preview it! Poopie!
Try again ..
Paulflynn - thank you for popping in

Thanks for the well wishes, it's been a great start to my journey.
Overtherainbow - Thank you for the awesome reply! That's very interesting that your feet roll outwards. Do you find that this causes strain and stress on your knees and through the hips? Be interesting to watch you walk .. I know that sounds weird, but biomechanics in everyone and anyone interests me.. even the dog can't get away without me taking notes on how she moves. I'm obsessed with it!
I did think that my PT was erring on the side of caution with the calories and extremely gentle exercises. While I can understand where she is coming from (I would do exactly the same if I was writing an exercise program for a horse, you'd rather take it slow and gentle than risk injury or problems), I do think that 2000 calories was a bit much for me. I am aiming to stay between 1200-1500 calories depending on what I'm doing and eating. There are quite a few things that I didn't agree with, but like with everything it's all part of the learning process. I am glad to have met her, and have her help me start my journey, but I feel that I get more amazing support and information here than I do from her currently, plus the internet has a lot to offer. I do not think I will hit 9kgs by Christmas.. that would be nice, but I don't think so. Maybe 9kg from my original starting weight of 115kg. She has several areas of training, and continues her education which what attracted me to her - another study-a-holic, but this time for people.
I've had help from Dr's, nutritionists, PT, diets and nutritional programs all tell me different things. Putting bits and pieces I've learnt along the way together has really helped me the past few weeks, and I feel much better for it. I think a lot of this journey is 'feeding your body' and learning what does and doesn't work for you. I did start the C25K last year when I was doing the Michelle Bridge's 12week challenge. Unfortunately injury cut that short at week 3 (I rolled my ankle on a stick .. not even something more interesting or heroic, just a pesky stick that I stepped on funny!) and I never went back. Once my ankles are better and able to hold up to longer periods of jogging I will re-start the program. I am sure there is an Android app

I would *love* to do a fun run next year.. I really like the look of the colour run, or the neon run .. that would be a nice little target for me. They happen around now, so it's a good year to prepare!
My PT did write me up a strength training program which she says to do once a week, twice if I can. My program consists of 12 reps, and 3 sets each of:
Squats + Steps
Bicep Curls + Bentover Rows
Lunges + Bench Press (I haven't done the bench press yet, as I haven't found something to lie on that was clean)
Behind the head dippy things with a weight..
10 reps (1 set) of crunches, and reverse crunches. These I do on the bed as my lower back is too sore to do anything like this on the floor, even with a mat (I have an extra-thick yoga mat, and it still hurts). As well as warm up, cool down and stretches of coarse. She also suggests 2-4 days to include 20-30 min walks.. but like I've mentioned I walk morning and night for 40-60mins, so I think the walking is covered. Any thoughts on the strength training is very welcome!
Yep that's the same app I used - "Deeeeeeeeeeeep Sleeeeeeeeeeeeeep" haha. I think that if you went to a correctly trained practitioner I think you could overcome many areas in your life. I'd love to find a GOOD hypnotherapist in my area, but I am a little skeptical at the same time, as I don't want any fluffy-junk, I want the real deal. Do you know how hard it is to find a good massage therapist?? It worries me that from the handful I've been to that are qualified they cannot answer some simple questions.. They are either too light and fluffy (just giving a general rub down), or too hard core and not realizing that massage is meant as a recovery aid, not a type of torture!
Little John - The app is a free app, the one that overtherainbow mentioned. It does have paid options within the app which I haven't tried. But if you set your mind to it, I believe you can do it. Meditation is awesome! Totally agree that it is related to meditation, and I think you could possibly do self-hypnosis by meditating. Could take some practice..but worth a shot.
Whipper Snippering - haha yes, it is fun to say! I guess it may also be called 'weed whacking'?
The type of singlet I was wearing could be called also be called a tank top? Both singlet and tank top may come up with NSFW pictures depending on what you're searching for lol!
Quercus - Thank you, feeling much better today

I think the milk may have been suspicious .. either way, I will avoid the crappy hot chocolate.
We whipper snipper the lupins due to them being poisonous for horses to eat straight off the plant. They can be dried to be fed, but they must be soaked for 24-48 hours to crack the shell and expose the inner bean to the air. Otherwise it can kill them.
If you've ever met a lupin plant, you'll know how thick their stems are, and not all mowers can go over them. And if they do, they tend to just fold over and not get chopped. Due to snake season, I'd like to be extra careful!
Also, at this time of year as the beans are drying and exposing the seeds, they sound like popping corn. The whole paddock sounds like pop corn - very cool!

Went for our walk last night, it was a nice walk. I still hate that Killer hill though .. One day I will jog it, but it wont be for a lonnnnnnng while. O/h tagged along with Juno, and jogged up that darn hill - well, some of it, much more than I could do.
This morning I was feeling better again, and promptly went out for my morning walk.. and today I did something different, I turned off the music. It's quite soothing hearing the rhythm of your feet hitting the pavement, the sounds of the birds, dogs barking - just enjoying life basically! There is a really cool plant I found that I must get a picture - the petals, I suppose you could call them, look like snow flakes. Considering I *love* the cold and we don't get snow here, I was a bit excited to see this plant. I would plant many of these trees just to bring a little feel of the UK here. On my walk I had to stop and think if I wanted to climb the Killer hill again, or go the easier (but still hilly) route home. Just as I was making my decision I hear two men jog up behind me with a "Good morning!". As I see them jog past, they must have been well into their 70's, early 80's, short-shorts on, jogging AND holding conversation as they went about their run. I thought that was fantastic - I love that they are keeping fit and healthy. So I opted for the Killer hill.. I still hate that hill, but I hate my fat more. The hill was worth the great feeling afterwards.. during the hill walk I kept grabbing my stomach to remind myself of why I am torturing myself with this hill.
Walked for well over an hour at the 4WD show - I am so jealous of the Americans, you guys get some COOL toys. Totally fell in love with the new Dodge - leather seats with brilliant stitching, buckles in the back - love love love it. And it's so BIG! Shame I could buy a house in Tas for the cost of one new.. much cheaper in the States. Avoided all the yummy smelling foods (hot dogs, taco's, burgers, hot chips (My *favorite* food in the world), slushies, icecreams..) and had small subway on the way home. I did munch on some chocolate swirly wafer sticks when I got home ... woops!
Another walk tonight - was an easy walk, not fast paced at all as both o/h and I were suffering from a headache. Still squeezed in about 50 mins of walking which was nice, and did a bit of hill work. I was telling him about the two gentlemen I saw this morning, and about a young lady who I saw jogging this week (not sure if I mentioned it here), but she has stuck in my head not just because she was wearing a very awesome fluro green top (my favorite colour), but as she jogged past she just seemed to glide. There was no huffing, no red face, no drama - she looked absolutely content, happy and glidey. I said to o/h that is my goal, to glide. Sounds silly when you say it out loud.. but I'd love to be in that moment as much as she was, so content looking, so happy and just gliding in her running. I get awfully beetroot faced from a slight change in temperature let alone running, plus I sound like an asthmatic 80 yr old cat when I run, gasping for air. But I dream of gliding.
At the end of our walk I decided to jogged up the little hill that I always jog up to get to our street, thinking o/h will walk. I got about 3/4 of the way up, feeling good I was getting a jog in, and then o/h comes screaming past, running at full pelt and says "I AM GLIDING - LOOK AT ME GLIIIIIIIIIDE".
I lost it laughing, and had to stop jogging because I could not breathe!
OOH!
Before I forget.
I made fudge! Exciting, isn't it? It has 5 ingredients: coconut oil, peanutbutter, honey, cocoa powder and vanilla extract. Very, very rich, smooth and hits the chocolate spot. I have been *craving* chocolate the past few days, but I am a little put off the store bought stuff. I have found I don't crave chocolate like I used to, but this week is a bit of an exception due to hormones. Damn hormones! But feeling over the need for chocolate thankfully.. but now I have these really yummy (although very rich) fudge pieces in the freezer on stand by. Yum! Even better - slice up and put onto slices of banana, or with strawberries. Tones down the richness. Here is the deliciousness:
