time off from workouts :(

i went to the doctors regrading the pain, in right knee, and funny feelings near the spine, i had and he told me to stop weightlifting for about a week

the worry is will the hard i put in to pump my muscle up fade away?
would my muscles become smaller after a week :(

any advice is appreciated
thanks

also is it true that using a straight normal barbell for bicep curls can expose ur elbow joint to extreme stress, i was looking it up on the net and it said thats what causes elbow pain

If anything you'll make gains in your week off. Just make sure you don't stray from your diet and you'll be good to go in a week

can someone answer my other question pls :(

is it true that using a straight normal barbell for bicep curls can expose ur elbow joint to extreme stress which damages ur ligament?

i asked one of my phsical education and biology teachers in skool is weightlifting bad at the age of 16 and they said yes very. i told them i was lifting about 10-30kg and they said its extremely bad cause now or later on in my life it will cause ligaments/joint problems as the age between 12-18 is the time when ur joints ligaments are being modified

is this true?

Its true that joints and ligaments undergo change and they tend to harden and get stronger at ages 12 to 16 but whether weightlifting is detrimental to this process is a matter of great debate
sorry im not sure about that but i have heard people say that quite often

Its wise to start of in the initial years with some bodyweight exercises to strengthen joints and then move into weightlifting, but thats just my opinion
