Time for a fresh start!

Hello everyone,

I am a new mom to a 2 month old and have a 3.5 yr old toddler. We are in financial straits so I have to do everything on my own, waaay early in order to be able to exercise. Before everyone wakes up. I gained a lot of weight with my first son, then lost only about half of it, and gained 35 with my last one, but have already lost 25. However my goal is to lose 35 more pounds, and run a half marathon by June 2012. I need someone to keep me on track with my exercise. I wake up 2x during the night to feed the baby, because I'm a very light sleeper, so I tend to sleep in til 830-9 am, but then the hubby is gone to work, and I have no time to workout! I need someone to keep me on track about doing it at 5 or 6 am, because that is when everyone is asleep still. I have a lot of stretched out skin also, and wondering if anyone knows of any tricks to get it to shrink? If there is any! Heredity sucks sometimes! I want to be a healthy mom, a great role model to my kids, I have 2 teenage stepsons also ;) so if anyone is up to the task to keep me on track please let me know!

Thanks :)

Hello and welcome!

I will support and help you on here as much as I possibly can.

I can not imagine how hard it is to have a toddler and a 2 month old( congratulation on your new baby

) whilst trying to get healthy, It's tuff enough when you only have yourself to look after.

As for exercising at 6am, that is what I do, It was originally to fit in with work hours but I am so used to it that I get up naturally.

I would be careful not to push yourself to much especially if you are lacking sleep, I know I work harder when I am well rested (although I can appreciate that you have to get up for your baby)

If you don't mind me asking what sort of foods are you eating? and what do you drink? just to give us an idea of what changes you could possibly make to help you.

I swapped all my drinks to green tea, lemon barley and water and it worked wonders along with exercise and a lot of other changes.

If you have any other questions just ask

Good luck
