Time for a change...

Well, here we go! This morning I weighed in at 157 pounds.

Today I just tried to stick to the few starter "rules" I set for myself to begin to steer myself back towards the healthier lifestyle I used to live. So far so good, although I still can see so many areas where I'm sabotaging myself... but I know that if I make too many changes at once I'll never stick with it. So I ate breakfast: a bagel with butter and a banana. BUT because of my "monitor portions" rule, I had a half-sized bagel and was much more conservative with the butter then usual. Still not healthy, but hey, it's a start!

.

While picking up my dry cleaning I had every intention of going to the pizza place next door and picking up my favorite cheesy breadsticks. But I somehow resisted and I couldn't be happier about it. I also went riding this morning, danced around the house while cleaning, and plan on going for a bike ride this evening. I still feel terrible about my body, though. I still can't believe that this is what I've turned into. :/

Welcome to the forum Frenzy23,

As I'm sure you've seen by our diaries, we are not a perfect lot...far from it! We can share our encouragement and experience with you though to help you through some rough spots (and trust me, we all have them!). Good job on resisting the pizza place! Sounds like you're off to a good start! I highly suggest writing down your goals and then setting some realistic objectives to meet them. For me, I had to include exercise as part of the deal...diet alone would not get it for me...everyone is different, so you'll need to find what works for you.

Good luck and keep on making good choices, be true to yourself and you'll see results...promise!
