Tiffany's journey to a healthier life...

Awesome on getting gym time! Thanks for your response too,and don't worry about checking in - I know you're in grad school! You should be super busy, and way more busy than me! Lol. I've been bouncing back and forth a pound or so and I too believe it was due to dehydration - sucks. Fred and wilma sounds like fun! If you're worried, can you just use one of those tummy flattening things? I tend to use those... Or wear a shirt underneath to make you feel more comfortable? Just a thought. Good luck with your goals the rest of this week!

I am ALL for believing that housework counts as exercise :) I'm sure it would be more beneficial to go the actual gym, but eh, somedays, the gym just doesn't call my name...

The half off your plate when out to eat works pretty well, huh :) However, I will say the biggest flaw of that is, if I don't have them box the other half up or have them toss it right away, and I'm out with people who eat EVERYTHING on the plate PLUS some, sometimes my stomach gives sympathy growls... lol. Its true- I'll be finished with my half a burger or fries or whatever, and I'll just sit there and watch everyone else eat, and THEN, I'm magically in need of more, PLUS desert... ah, such is life. And it sucks, lol. But after my mini vacation I need to kick my butt into gear.. no more of that lol.

Have a great rest of the week, I'll see ya in bout six days :D

Weigh-in tomorrow. I am a little nervous. I really would like to see a 2lb loss, but I would be happy with 1lb again. As long as it is a loss. I did get to run yesterday and I did some carmen electra today. So, we will see. Food has been good so far today. Hopefully it stays that way throughout the night!

I got my first "you look skinny" comment today :D! :jump: I was so excited! It was from my research partner... who I see every day. She said she didn't even notice it was me when I sat down next to her in the computer lab. It made me feel good! It always inspires me when ppl notice. I don't know why, I should be inspired anyways... but a little complement never hurt.

Anyways, I will update in the morning. Hopefully I will get a small walk in tonight. Wish me luck!

Weigh-in

Weigh-in went as I expected today. Another 1.2lbs lost. I seem to be the 1lb a week person which is ok with me! 1lb is better than none and is better than a gain (what I usually do during the semester). I am 1lb heavier than I wanted to be today for my b-day challenge goal. But, I am ok with that. Maybe I will have a good loss next month to make up for it. I don't know how many more late nights I will have to pull in the library, so exercise for me is looking up. I scouted out a new running route yesterday. I think I am feeling brave enough to venture off the track. Hopefully I will get to try it out tomorrow :D.

Goals for next week:
1) workout at lease 3x
2) not drink too much this weekend (costume party!)... and try to eat good
3) Keep brining healthy food with me to school
4) loose another 1.5lbs (maybe I can get more than 1lb)

Thanks for reading! :beerchug: Cheers on another week.

Nice job on the extra pound. Slow and stead wins the race. I'm supposed to be partying a lot this weekend too, I have a friend coming to town. Let's both hope that we don't over do it! Stay strong! I know you can!

Congrats on the 1lb.. and have fun this week! Costume parties are things I've decided to do when I'm skinny. And wanna dress hoochy. So, its just a movie for me  1.5 seems really reasonable, and definately keep up the bringing of good foods with you to school... I may work at GNC where we have a crap ton of protein, but ha! Most of those protein bars are sooo heavy on calories and sugar that I may actually be better off eating a friggin snickers lol.

Im Back

Hello! After a 2 week hiatus I am back. I needed to have some "time off" to focus on other things. I was feeling tired a lot before. I needed to make sure that it was not because of the diet, but just because I spend way too much time on school stuff and being stressed.

Over the past two weeks I have done fairly well. As of today I weigh the same that I did 2 weeks ago. Which, considering what I have been eating, is a slight miracle.

My class schedule has slowed down a little, so I am hoping to get more exercise in. I bought new running gear last week, but have yet to use it. I also mapped out a new path that I would like to take... and also yet to go.

Anyways, I just thought I would check in. I have a paper due in a couple hours that is not quite finished.

I hope everyone is doing well! I will try to check in later today.

Hi Tiffany

Maintaining is always a good thing. Congrats!
Hope your paper went well.
Thanks for the note. School's pretty good. I have one week, then a week off for turkey day, then one week of classes, one week of "dead week" (no assignments/exams are supposed to be given during dead week but none of the professors follow that rule), and then a week of finals. So four for me I guess. Feels like less though. I'm excited for this semester to be over since I don't like any of my classes. Then after next semester I'll have my first degree! Yay!

I had an ok weekend food wise. Avoided as much of the "bad" foods as possible. I still haven't been running. I keep telling myself to go, but once I get out of the habit of things it takes me a little while to talk to myself into going again. Once I go I love it and keep going... I don't know why I get out of the habit of going. Maybe I will make it to the gym in the morning... then again I have a list of things I need to do for school in the morning. I do only have one class tomorrow... so maybe I can get a run in after class. (Keep your fingers crossed for me).

I am trying to be really realistic with this weight loss thing. I weighed the same this morning as I have for the past few weeks. My goal is to be 168 or less by December 20th. Due to what is going on with school over the next 6 weeks, I think this is a good goal for me. This will put me at the same weight I was at when I lost weight previously (during my jr/sr year of undergrad).

I have been shrinking out of my clothes. Most of them are significantly too big now. My jeans that I just bought a couple months ago I can now pull off without unbuttoning them. I feel frumpy, but I don't want to buy new clothes yet. I would like to loose another 10lb before I start buying new clothes. I am going to have to buy new clothes in January. Next semester I have to dress professional at school almost everyday... so I need new clothes for that. My closet is going to have to come out of the "how much do you weigh this month turmoil."

Anyways, I think that is all for today. I am busy cooking dinner (fish and a salad) and need to get on some school stuff to make the rest of the week go a little smoother.

Hopefully everyone is doing well.

I finally went for a walk today! It took a little bit of talking myself into it, but it was nice! I didn't bring it up to a run, but I am going to try to go tomorrow after class. I did get to try out the new route though, so now maybe I wont be so intimidated by it.

Anyways, that all for tonight. Food has been fine... just need to workout.

I lost a little under 1lb this week. Any loss is a success at this point! I am happy. Over 17lb lost and under 25 to go!

I am going for a run this afternoon after class. It will probably be more of a walk than a run... but something is better than nothing! Tomorrow is going to be super busy and God only knows how the weekend is going to go.

4.8 lbs left to loose before Dec. 20th!!

Just wanted to update. Hope everyone is doing well!

Hey chica...where ya' been? I bet you're super busy with school and all... I hope you're still on track and maybe you'll pop in soon.
Take care!
