*Tiffany*'s Diary

Glad to hear you are getting back in the game. Congrats on making the decision to hire a sitter & make this such a valuable piece of your life. You'll be back down in the 100s soon.

Have you tried sparkling water or seltzer water as a step away from colas? My office mate was a big cola addict & just recently switched to the seltzer & adds a splash of fruit juice sometimes.

Good luck. Its hard, but aren't we worth it?

Oh honey - more than you know...Korrie and I have stopped and started more than we would liek to count or admitt...it isnt a easy path to walk - espeically with families and we know that - good for you for hiring a sitter so you can exercise:)I do alot of stuff at home and with the youngest cuz it is the easiest way for - really all i do outside of th ehouse is walk which isnt very often anymore and water areobics...

You will get back down there - I strgulle with time - between my crazy shift work 24/7 job and my kids and home and exercise not to mention childrens activities - my time and energy is spent...

Hang int here and keep on doign it...are you drinkin regular cola or diet - if regular switch over at least it is alittle btter for you but not much...

I gotta run for now but it is nice to see you post chicky!!!:)

Running is excellent exercise for you!

Hey Tif!! nice to see you again, I've missed ya!! But I know life happens and gets in the way and sometimes there is nothing we can do but just take it day by day. Hang in there, you will get back down to 100's again, YOU WILL!! And what a great way to start by having someone come to your house so you can go workout, GREAT IDEA!! I'll be stopping by to check in on your progress, and get rid of those cola's YUK!!!! hehehehe, try flavored water that might help. I know it's not the same, but it's worth a try, oh and get the carbonated kind it's actually pretty darn yummy!
Good luck to you!
Kim

I know you all are probably getting tired of me popping in and out. I know I am.

I am still working on the weight loss. I work out at least five days a week, BUT I have been on a plateau for MONTHS now. I am just so discouraged...so discouraged. I don't know what to do now. I try to focus on the fact that by continuing to exercise I am getting healthier on the inside, but...man, I don't want to sound like a whiner, but WHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. I NEED to see some progress!!

I am sorry I keep popping in and out on you all. I am going to try to come here more often again so that I can at least stay encouraged by reading your diaries while I trudge through this plateau. UGH

Hi Tiffany :). I noticed you're on a plateau like me. Grrrrr. It seems that my weight stays around the same no matter what I do. I actually put on 4 lbs when I had started back weight lifting. I recently dropped a few pounds from the flu (which I've had for going on 10 days now). Is that what it friggin takes these days to shed a pound?! LOL I know sometimes I'm to blame, but there have been other times when I ate well and exercised and still nothing. Plus I was always hungry or having cravings, which I HOPE will be diminishing now that I got off mirena (BC). I'm starting to hope that was the cause of this, not sure if you're on any hormones or what's causing this plateau. Good luck getting to onederland, you'll find a way soon but its worth figuring it out.

You can do it sweet heart you just gotta keep troopin along...We have all been there - can you make changes with your food your switch up your exercise ?

Hey hun, don't worry about it!!!

I'm with cerella, you might want to shake things up! I've heard that really helps! We are here for you though hun, don't ever doubt that!

Just checking in. I am doing well. Exercise and cals are in check. I have actually started training and teaching my brother and sister-in-law. My SIL has already lost 12 pounds. Having them depend on me is a real "accountability". AND it is making me work out twice a day. I work out with them in the afternoon and then I do my runs in the evenings. I am back down to 205 from 211 on March 1st, so at least it is going that way, right?

Good night everyone. I'll check back in soon.

Hey...i'm glad to see that your doing well!! COngrats to getting back down to 205 & you SIL losing weight as well..keep up the good work:)

Excellent JOB!!! your right when your the lead and people are counting on you to be the example it sure makes you work harder. WELL DONE!! Hey Girl - Pokin my head in. Seems like you are doing well. Everyone on this forums is an inspiration to me. :) You go girl!

Here I am. Thank you for checking on me. I seem to have been MIA for quite a long time. I have had a dard time making myself do anything weight-loss wise and I am starting to feel the difference. I have gained about 13 pounds back...and I am NOT ok with that. I am really hoping to get back into the mindframe of doing what I know how to do to lose weight. I already have had some success, so I just need to turn back to that to get started again. Back to the basics...back to those baby steps, eh? ;)

Ok, I am making an effort to be more faithful to this forum because it really did seem to help me stay on track back when I was so dedicated. I think my lack of effort for the past 6 months came from the fact that I became comfortable with my weight. I had lost 60 pounds and I did not feel gross anymore. Now, though, I am back to the place where I am feeling unhappy about my weight again. I am still down about 55 pounds from my original weight, but I am feeling the very strong desire to move down the scale again...and that makes me very excited!

This weekend was my 7th wedding anniversary. Alan took me on a fancy mini-vacation. It was absolutely WONDERFUL and I soaked up every minute of it...including the food. So, I will count that as my last "fling with food" for a while. I am ready to jump back in with ferver.

So here I am....Back to what got me started back in March of 2007. I have not logged anything in a LONG time, so here goes:

Today's planned workout is:

30 minute video after lunch
30 minutes on elyptical at 5:30
50 squats- (a friend challenged me to this)
25 crunches
Major walking during grocery shopping this evening.

Breakfast- 330 cals
Snack- 100 cals

****Here's to another new beginning*****

Sheesh. It sure is easy to not do the things you plan to do. I ate very well today, but the only exercise that I got was the walking while shopping. I seem to keep crashing around 3 pm and just can barely function. I would normally snack on whatever I wanted and that would keep me awake, but since I am avoiding mindless nibbling I am going to have to find some other way to pep up. I bought a new coffee pot tonigh, so that will help some. But I do not want to become indefinately caffeine dependent. Maybe a snack and some walking....

Diet was good...Exercise not so much. I will make a point to change that tomorrow.

It is good to be back!

Congrats on wanting to get back on track! I quit and gained some weight too :(

Good job on eating well today! I bet you'll find once you add some exercise back into those good eating habits that your energy will boost itself just because you are that much healthier. If not, I've heard that apples have natural sugars that actually energize you more than a cup of coffee, plus they are under 100 cals for ya! Couldn't hurt to give it a shot!

Thanks for the apple tip! I would certainly be better off with an apple than with a cup of coffee. I have been on the road all week, so I am determined to get a workout in today.

I went and bought a goal outfit and a dress yesterday in a size 14. They are super cute and the thought of fitting in to them gets me pumped up for the hard work ahead. I still remember how great it was to get into the goal 16's, so this ought to feel even better. AND- my husband told me that once I can fit that dress he would take me away for a weekend as a special treat. I am loving the extra motivation...not to mention the support from him is crucial! It feels so great to be back on this journey after my six months away!

Diet:

Breakfast-
1.5c oatmeal w/ 1/3 cup milk and 1 tsp. sugar
1 slice whole grain toast
2 strawberries
1 cup coffee w/ sweet-n-low and creamer
