Hey, wishes, I bet you'll get a kick out of this :)
lol Took a second of listening to realize what it was.

That's horrible about the pot and the meat! That's a lot of moneys! I don't even own a pot that expensive, I'd be so upset if I did and it was ruined, lol.
heh its a very good pot - one of those Air Core ones- heat it then turn it off, come back several hours later and you have a perfectly cooked food.

Ok *bang bang bang* drive by***I wanted to wish

and sat do to running everywhere but I wanted you to

Can you please NOT do drive bys, try reading this

Well the race went ok. I left behind my camelpak (3ltr water bag that goes on my back) so i took my daughters school bag with lots of small bottles of water. This meant i ran out of water halfway through the race and ended up getting cramps which sucked.
So my goal was to do the race with an average speed of 30km/ph . that would mean 90km done in 3 hours.
I did it in 3:12 - this includes 5 mins stopping time waiting for a train crossing *grr*, and 5 mins stopping to stretch to try releaving the cramps.
For the most part of the race i was going about 35km/ph but because of the cramps i crawled the last 25km.
I was 26th in my class (female, general) 292th out of 500 total.

Oh wishes that sounds great to me - you have ridden a massive amount - finished what you started, virtually made the time you were aiming for, placed right up the order.... I bet the lack of water is still making you a little frustrated but I hope your overall feeling is high and buzzy and proud. :)

Wishes, congrats on the result -- that is incredible, keeping up that pace for so long. Sorry you forgot the water; I can imagine that made a huge difference, since cramping up just stops everything. Last time I was in a bike race was 20 years ago, but i remember how hard it was. Kudos to you!

Yeah im peeved that i forgot such an important item, but glad i did it anyway.
It was no easy feat, i just about didnt finish. When i started cramping up, i was riding by myself and figured by now i was last because i hadnt over taken anyone, and i had been over taken repeatedly.
Nothing is as sad and lonely as cycling on your own, in the middle of nowhere, ran out of water, tired, feeling very defeated and rejected. And the pain in my legs was constant (from cramping).
To be straight up with you, i was crying for parts of it because i was so defeated feeling - but i refused to give up.
Getting off and having a stretch, taking in the last few mouthfuls of water and watching 50 cyclists that were behind me (*(&*@$^*@ damn it i would have placed SOO much better had i not stopped ...) really did help a lot.

Yeah, a HUGE difference :D
Is that a new av pic? my god is that the same person?

:) Way to go wishes. You must be starting to feel very interested in where you would place with everything working for you. :)

Thanks for sharing some of that experience with us. It must have been amazing to finish after that devastating patch and the extreme ride to the end. I am learning a lot about endurance and dealing with extremes from my reading here and hoping some of that will brush off. Congratulations. :)

The cycling sounds great... I would cycle more if I weren't surrounded by hills and had a bike that I hadn't had since I was 15. :p

Hope you managed to feed the relatives ok after the meat fiasco. :D

Yeah, it was taken last March, when I spent a week with my son in SF. LOL, it doesn't look that much different to me, but I guess I'm too used to seeing my mug every day to tell the difference.

No camel pack and running outta water sux but all in all those numbers look good to me...your so ambitious - Im still thinking I should dust off my bike and actually start tryign to use it - lol - but i dont want ppl to see me rieding it and the same as jogging - ah I will get over it soon - lol...but honestly wishes congrats!!! I think you did great

Wishes, you did great...finishing 26th out of that many people. I don't have a competitive bone in my body, so for me, I'd just be happy and proud that I trained and participated. Sorry you forgot your water pak. 90 km in 3:12 is pretty damn good. Stop and think about this...could you do this a year ago, six months ago, three months ago? You are ROCKING and no telling what you're going to do next...as we all hold our collective breath and wait to hear...:D

Okay im more awake now than i was at time of last post.

I was 64th out of 128 females total
and i came 26th out of 49 females in my class
and 292nd out of a possible 429 people that entered the race (though only 377 finished)

Sorry if i came across bitchy in earlier posts - very over tired :)

That is definately awesome! Good job! I can't bike very far without my legs feeling like they're dying, lol. I never bike is why, but I want to get used to biking so I can go places on my bike in the summer instead of driving. Plus it would save on gas and be beneficial to my health!

lol @ legs dieing :D
Funny thing is, after 3 hours cycling, my legs are not what hurts. My lower back and neck hurt.

Well im still the same weight ive been for like ages now - im geting increasingly frustrated with lack of weight loss.
0.7lb a week is not my idea of fun atm. I want to get as low as i can for the surgery.
Im keen to get a proper fat test to find out how much fat % i have.
According to and a measureing tape (definatly not the most reliable method) I have the following stats.

Body Fat %: 19.81
Lbs/Kgs of Body Fat: 17.57
Lean Body Weight: 71.13

Remember thats in kg, not lb. You can

Either way - I have a set of scales that tell me the body fat %, and they have only ever said ERR% with me, they read fine for everyone else, just not me :/

WISHES!!!! Sorry for my absence... time for me to play catch up! How've you been? Seems like you're doing quite well! Even though they may not be "accurate", you're body fat % is quite impressive! Good job girlie!!!!

Greetings WISHES!!!!
I'm yours the fan for about half a year!
You madly inspire me !!!
What do you think of it :

With the best regards

P.S.: Sorry for my English…I'm from Siberia
