Thousand Day Plan

After dipping down to 186 I went back up to the low 190s for a few weeks. I had cut back my workouts and binged a bit including my first Chinese buffet of the year. But I seem to be back on track now and hope to get down under 180 by the end of summer.

I'm taking a set of strength training classes at my gym. Really planning on focusing on reducing body fat as opposed to weight. Got a new scale a couple of months ago. Supposed to show body fat and something called body water. I know they are not very accurate but it should show relative changes reasonably well.

Been six weeks since my last post here. Things are continuing along nicely. Down to 174 pounds. 3/4 quarters of the way to my final goal. Scale also shows body fat at 26%, down from 30 a few months ago.

Biggest problem I have recently is a tendency to over eat in the evenings. Mostly healthy but not able to resist the late night urges like I was doing before.

Got a decent pair of running shoes. I can usually do about 3 miles in thirty minutes out doors. Very hot though.

Been easing off a bit on detailed food logging. Still use fitday but most of the time I just make a quick journal entry.

Main goal now is to stay under 180. Be nice to get under 170 by 1 Oct or so.

Helped run a good size soccer tournament last week. Did lots of games. Just for grins I weighed myself Friday (Jun 18) morning and again in the evening. Lost over 4 pounds in one day. Of course it wasn't a real loss.

Off to West Palm Beach FL next week for a big soccer tournament. Exercise won't be a problem but eating right could be.

Wow, you're doing so well! Glad to hear how close you are to your goal--I seem to be going backwards right now so reading this was great motivation! Keep it up

Wow. great progress. You should rename your thread. At this rate, its more like a 300 day plan :p Great work!

Losing weight is the easy part (relatively speaking). Keeping it off is the challenge and that's where the 1000 days come in.
