Bit sceptical of the forum, but I need something to motivate me, small commitment will do!
I am 5"1 and I weigh roughly 126lbs. (oh yeah and im a girl) Doesn't sound like much but being pretty short its all relative, the BMI chart says I am healthy weight but pretty close to overweight, a few more pounds and I will cross the line, so I want to catch it now and get it sorted before it gets worse!
My goal weight is between 100-110lbs (105 ideally)
I've recently moved away from home for the first time and I've fallen into the easy, quick and cheap food trap. Not only is looking in the mirror becoming a little more painful each day, I've noticed my skin is looking washed out and spotty, my eyes are looking tired, I'm feeling really tired and run down, like i've got a constant cold. Im sure this is due to my lack of exercise and poor diet.
So this whole journey is not just about weight loss; overall health, fitness and vibrancy is a definite must!
I've set myself up with the local gym, going to try and go to an hour pilates class twice a week, daily toning exercises, and walking to work instead of getting the bus (its a 25 minute walk, so thats 50 minutes daily there and back)
I'm not going to go on any kind of special diet, im going to go on my own common sense (wholewheat bread and pasta, more fruit and veg, no sugary snacks or drinks, no instant meals or microwave dishes)
I am going to try and cut coffee out of my life slowly too, I'm going to limit myself to 1 cup a day in the first week, then 1 small cup a day, then 1 every 2 days etc. and replace coffee with an energy smoothie (I'll post the recipe once I've mastered it)
gonna give myself the rest of the weekend to brace and then kick start this plan on Monday.
Will post before and after pictures once I have a half decent after photo
