Checked calories again, because I was about to finish the day too low. It’s amazing how this seems like so much food to me now and how little interest I have in eating more these days. Long may that last.

Exercise: 9:10 Walk about 1 hr.
Short route to oval + 1 lap then stretches, intervals - 5 sprints between goals, 3 at 54 secs (a new low), 2 at 60 secs, long route home.

Hey I hope your week is off to a great start.
Thank you. I guess it has started well - food and exercise seem to be ok. My days have been busy and full of challenges and fun!

WOW 20!!!! thats awsome, I have a lot of time in my excersizes but very little resistance...Im gonna have to step it up:D Hope you had a great day!
Well my day had it's moments but finished very nicely.

I don't want to make it seem that I am pwning the machine which I can barely use!! It's just interesting for me to mess around with it and get different effects.

Hey you :D:D:D....Ive been missing you - LOL _ im glad I am able to be back online again and now I need to make more of a point of visiting you I was slackin off a bit before...

I'm glad you have your computer fixed. It is unbelievably tiresome to deal with when they muck up.

hey girl, you're really doing amazing :D a true inspiration with all those miles you put in :D
a big hug to you!
Lena

Keep this up and you'll be vying for the next Miss Australia competition, unless of course you're moving to America anytime soon *shrugs*

Keep up the great effort Kerry :) Soon (I've been ready) we'll be on you for a B & A Thread !!

Wow sounds like you are doing great. Keep it up! Hope you are having a great day!!:)
I had a lovely day - lots of sunshine and laughter. Also one amazing moment enchanted by the flat blue beautiful ocean stretching forever along the coast....nearly missed my exit, avoided crashing!... Mind on the job...

Wow! Thank you! I don't usually do a lot but I like to do some most days.

I have to second that. I can't wait until I'm doing 11 miles myself.
Finding out that I could extend myself by walking a bit further and a bit faster was revelation this forum inspired me to discover and for which I am deeply grateful.

I'm glad to find you in such a good mood Randy. :D

Even that is not enough flattery (or is it that it's too much  ), to get me into B & A yet. :D:eek: (Ran out of grinnies again...)

Thanks to all the brave hearts who do though. :) I will get there in the end.

Dropping in to say Hello!. Hey I love the ocean too, but it's not good to admire it while driving!! Be careful.:)
Yes. That thought occurred to me afterwards! I need to organize another walk along the ocean!!

For yesterday

Breakfast ~9:30 2 weetbix,. 1C lowfat soy milk. 1/3 C tinned peaches. 1 slice wholemeal toast with minimal margarine and marmalade. Boiled egg. 1 C coffee with 40 ml Hilo.

Lunch
1:00 2 Salada cracker
3:00 V8 Vege juice box
4:15 17 almonds (Yes I counted, actually counted in advance this time and was sprung by my daughter for doing so....)
.
Dinner
7:00 Carrot, broccoli, mushroom, sugar snap peas, capsicum, light french onion dip.
10:15 100 gm lean grilled pork. 120 gm chilli beans (beans, tomato, onion, jalapenos, oil)

Exercise: pm
up 1250 stairs back at the waterslides. I did 250 then unexpectedly met a friend and took time off. I was aiming for 1000 and decided to aim to finish rather than trying to do them quickly but once I was nearly there, I sped up and sort of jogged, plus I added some on to get the 1000 in one group.
It was definitely easier than the last time I tried, 2-3 weeks ago.

9:20pm Walk. Local. 3.1 miles. Very pleasant.

Since I started walking after dark I have felt a lot more relaxed about being able to to be sure of getting some exercise and I also really enjoy the sensation of being out while it is cool and dark. One way and another this easily suits my own natural preferences.

However when I returned last night, my children were upset about me being out alone. Although I walk with a fair sized dog and also feel it's very unlikely that I would meet with any problems I can't handle, I hardly want to persuade them that there is no risk. I will have to up the ante and find another way. I did manage to exercise for quite a long time before I started walking in the dark, so I guess I still can.

Hi there! Read your first few posts and I just want to say, I'm looking forward to your successes--you deserve them, and it's wonderful you are so mindful of your health and working hard!:)

*forum nudge*

We may become relentless with our pushes and nudges :)

:)

I am having some trouble with the computer I generally use and though it could be worse, it's wasting a lot of the computer time I would normally spend on here. Luckily I can still check in though not as thorougly as I'd like. :)

So I take it that's a yes???

(and I hope the computer trouble gets solved quickly!)

Finding a time to walk must be really difficult, and arguing with kids is like herding cats, they have a way of slipping around don't they? ;)

Thank you. I have quite a way to go yet, but I'm very happy with the progress I've made since I started here.

The computer doesn't seem to be deteriorating but will need a few more boring hours trying unlikely options before I give up on fixing it.

I should still be able to find time to walk. I have already reached a stage where it bothers me a lot to be prevented. I sooo love the calm and focus I can get walking at night, but I know if I argue with the kids about it they will be coming right back at me with the same arguments really soon because there is quite a lot of entertainment in walking distance from our house. :) Maybe this will be the final push that switches me to walking at the beginning of the day instead of the end.

(At my sisters. She told me we would have hotdogs as it’s difficult for her to leave the house for a few days with two gorgeous new puppies there. I was ready to eat a hotdog. I have never cared for them much. I just thought it would send me back to my plan with new zest! Actually, as reasons to eat off plan don’t come up often for me anyway, I feel pretty comfortable about it now, which is a nice feeling.)

Anyway, her fridge must have been well stocked already because she had prepared lots of choices for us.

I had corned beef. Probably 50 gm. Almonds. 7. :) A little feta cheese. 2 dried apricots. ¾ slice of white toast, with avocado. A green salad – similar to what I make all the time but with mixed lettuce and other leaves and a new dressing. Yummy dressing and fairly low in fat.

¼ C (60ml) lime juice
2 tbspn sweet chilli sauce
1 clove of garlic, crushed
1 tbspn oyster sauce
1 tspn sesame oil

I might not use this all the time, but I have a nice oriental chicken salad recipe to go with it so it will make something special for tomorrow night too.

2 C coffee with hilo milk.
.
Dinner 8:00 120 gm salmon steak, dusted with flour and fried in a little olive oil. Two cups of salad with 50 gm tinned sweetcorn ½ tomato and lots of free veges.

Exercise 20 min. Low impact aerobics with weights. (Heat)

Though I had decided not to walk after dark I was quite unhappy that it would not be happening, and some busyness toward the end of the day meant that I did not walk at all. I felt like someone had pinned me down with one of those lead aprons that dentists use for x-rays.

I figured there would be a way to do some low impact aerobics but in the circumstances was not very enthusiastic. However, I did spend a while wondering about other options a few weeks earlier, before I decided that walking at night was ok. I had worked out then that a mini trampoline would be good. I found out they were cheapish, but then thought that it was not really necessary. Now, I reckon it is necessary. So that will be something to organize tomorrow (after the man fixes the washing machine and clothes drier – I hope). I can still do that outside if I want, also. That thought cheered me up a bit.

The aerobics did too. It was nice to see the cheery faces back smiling at me again and I enjoyed the feeling of using some muscles that haven’t been having much of a go lately. I haven’t used the little weights since I hurt my wrist and noticed that they felt heavier – so it’s a good thing that I had a reason to start up with them again.

My computer trouble is legendary now. I may have some coming back, but at least I have much better protection now. I have to echo the call for Before and After pics.
