Third Time's A Charm

I've lost a large amount of weight twice in my life, and gained it back. Once when I was 15 (I went from 200 to 160 due to an illness), and the second time was last year (I worked hard, starting here with my old journal, I went from 249 to 199 in about a year).

I'm back up to 250 and I feel so incredibly awful about it. I watched as my weight went up, and up. I struggled, and gave myself way too many excuses (you had a bad day, eat as much McDonald's as you like!).

So, I thought maybe I'd try again...maybe I'll use a new thread, start fresh, all that.

No pictures right now, maybe later. I'm at work, and bored, and trying to stay motivated.

I have a trip coming in July to LA, which is exciting, because I live in the middle of Canada and it's not anywhere near as nice as LA. I've never been there, or to the states even :). I wanna get SOMEWHAT close to where I was, when we go. That means I have about 7 weeks. My plan is to hike the trails there, too, get in some good exercise.

I'm doing what I did before, eating smaller meals, counting the calories. I still don't drink sugar soda (diet only, or water). I've banned myself from restaurants and the like. I was starting to binge, badly, and usually as soon as I finished work.

I've set myself to a 1200 soft total, but if I have a bad day I can go to 1600, so I'm not completely suffering. The plan is to walk a LOT this month, get myself a bit of a tan since I'm as white as a ghost and will burn BAD if I go to the states as I am now.

With that said, it's time to start keeping track!

Start Weight: 250.5

June 6th Food:
2 ham stick - 90
20 almonds - 140
2 fruit snack - 160
6 spring roll - 270
20 tatter tots - 360
1 cookie packet - 100
=1120 + dipping sauce and what have you, likely up to 1200

June 7th Food:
2 ham stick - 90
30 pretzels - 190
20 almonds - 140
2 fruit snack - 160
8 spring rolls - 360
30 tatter tots - 540
1 cookie packet - 100
= 1580

I'll edit in what else I eat later since I'm only at 980 right now.

So, yeah, here's hoping the third time is a charm. I'm so tired of this weight dragging me down. It's time to seriously do something about it.

Welcome back Loch!

You've managed to lose the weight before, so you'll manage again!

Look at it this way, at least you can see where it went wrong, and what to change this time. Nothing worse than not understanding what happened, or why!

Good luck with the target, and hope your LA trip turns out to be awesome.

Thanks, guys. I'm already down to 246. I'm sure a lot of this was water weight. I'm optimistic that I'll level out at 240 by next week.

I want to eat out so bad today. I have the night shift so, during the day my boyfriend likes to go out with me and the kids. We would usually go to DQ and eat something, and I always eat too much. I have to say no, I know I do, but damn I like to eat.

As a treat I'll eat something light for breakfast, have myself my usually snacks/food during work, and grab a slice of pizza across the street. It should take me to 1600 today, which is really good :). Much better than over 2000.
 
I am also a repeat offender... but you have a plan and you just need to stick to it. One hour at a time, then one day at a time, the one week at a time and suddenly it feels natural.

Stay strong! You can do this!
