After a hectic year at work, I have becoming a soft, bloated version of my former self!
I always knew I needed to combat my weight/eating issues eventually, but my appointment as a bridesmaid at my best friend's wedding next July has finally given me the kick up the arse that I need. Did I mention that said bride-to-be has also requested her skinny sisters for bridesmaid duties? Everytime I fancy a binge I simply visualise how hideous and upsetting those wedding photographs could be...
And did I mention Christmas? I LOVE Christmas, but it's when I look my worst. Every year, the winter draws in and I reach for stodgey, comforting foods. On average, I usually gain around 7-10lbs, and this year would be even worse as I already gained in Spring. Christmas is a time when all my old friends from school reunite in our local pub and every year I feel that little bit chubbier. This time it will be different!
Here are some numbers for you (despite the fact that I'm English, I work in pounds, not stones, don't know why):
Starting weight: 154
Current weight:149
Loss to date: -5
Target weight: 126
I'm 5ft5, making my BMI 24.8
I hope to reach 130 by Christmas, which would require losing just over 1lb per week. Manageable, no?
126 is my ultimate goal. It would be nice to reach that by the end of January (my birthday), but the ultimate goal is that I am able to maintain that weight for my best friend's wedding in July. I have ages I know, but for me, maintaining is always the hardest part.
