This is just my intro post =)
Oh and I probably won't be posting my weight on here unless you want me to? I will keep track of my weight in my sig though, so there will be a record of it =)
So I just feel really stressed and overweight. Heck, I know I'm overweight. So of course I'm going to try to change that =)
I do have a lot of experience with dieting (considering my age and all, nothing compared to you all), but I always seem to spiral into unhealthy habits.
Sophomore year, I went through a few food phases.
Phase 1 was eating a salad every day. Just a salad.
Phase 2 was when my mom was out of the country, so no one really cared about what I ate. I would have a can of diet coke, a stalk or two of celery, and a rice cake every day.
Phase 3 I would eat a lot after school, then throw it up.
Then these past few years (wow... time flies) I've been going between fasting for days and then eating a lot and throwing that up. Or maybe not even a lot, but throwing it up anyway.
But this time I want to do it the healthy way =)
Things I'm going to try to be careful about:
Vitamin C (This probably shouldn't be a problem, since my mom is getting me supplements, but I despise being sick)
Iron
Protein
(My doctor said my iron and protein were low when I went there a few weeks ago for a checkup. Not dangerously low, but he wants them higher. He wanted me to eat meat. Ha. Like that's ever going to happen.)
Oh, and I am vegan. I do not understand or sympathize with people who eat animal products. Why? Because they absolutely disgust me. The animal products that is. The idea of eating something that came from an abused animal is horrifying to me. Faced with cheese or dairy milk, I literally burst into tears.
Which makes French class every Friday nothing short of hell, as my class has decided that Friday is "food day", so they bring in brownies and cupcakes and such. Obviously made with dairy products. Thank God it's second period, so I'm half asleep and far from hungry.
Hmm... I think that's about it. Oh, and I adore Rice Dream =)
