To start off I'd like to say I'm excited and in truth rather frightened about cutting off soda from my diet (mostly)
I've drank soda anywhere from 2-6 times a day for most of my life A lot of the time I don't even enjoy drinking it, I just do it because it feels like I have to. It's a frightful thing when your mood, your day, and a big chunk of your life has been controlled by such a seemingly small thing.
I don't think I'll be cutting it out of my life completely though. There are times when my experience is genuinely improved by soda. Movies, dinner, even long car drives. So I've decided that I will use discipline and only drink it when I'm not craving it.
I think that disciplining my self so that I drink soda as little as possible will help me along the path of weight-loss, and hopefully in turn, comfort and happiness.
