I have decided not to read other people's introductions until I write my own, so that I can say what feels most natural to me. Here goes!
I made the change yesterday, yet again, to get this weight off of my body. I can't run (and maybe never will), I'm always sick, I feel uncomfortable, and I never want to see myself in the mirror. I mean, the list goes on! But there is a light at the end of the tunnel for me. It's kinda a long story, so I'll work to keep it short. My father and grandfather have always been large men. I looked to them to not feel so bad about my weight after having children. I would blame them, since I never was a skinny child. (I later found out that my parents just fed me anything to keep me queit.) Then 2 years ago my father was diagnosed diabetic. My grandfather knew he was, and could barely keep himself stable. My father, being deathly afraid of needles , decided to lose the weight and lose it fast. He did! He lost roughly 80 lbs the first year and around 70 the next! He inspired my mother, grandafather, and grandmother to do the same. Our family is into healthy eating, and it's a positive push for me.
Yet, I'm married and away from home. I have to put my foot down and do this on my own. It's really hard. I hope that someone here will open their heart to me and help me. I'm always around to help!
