Hello all,
First and foremost, I can't believe I'm back in this situation again but I guess reality hurts. I am a 26yr old male, 5'8", and currently and sadly weigh 244 lbs. My lowest weight ever was 171lbs about 2.5 years ago, of which I lost about 60lbs to get to that weight for police. Through sedentary life style, career changes, and a fridge full of excuses I have gained it all back.
I am writing this hopefully to garner support from both myself and others, and possibly if I succeed to be a testimonial to others. That said, my overall goal is to lose 75lbs in 6 months. I am prospectively looking to join the USAF, of which that is my ideal weight to be allowed to join.
So far I have already lost 3 lbs in a week and I feel good about the life change and prospective goal. I am looking forward to working towards being able to run 2 miles in 15 minutes, and finally fit into size 32" pants. However, if anyone is on a similar path or has endured this challenge before don't be afraid to comment and offer suggestions tips. I'm all ears.
I will try to post in this thread at least once weekly to update my weight totals and how the week went for me. Hopefully by the end of 4-6 months I can see some results and look back on this path and gain not only confidence and a healthy life but optimism towards the future.
