just wondering if her lifts are raw or not. 100kg squat at 50kg is pretty damn good. Also just as a matter of interest what powerlifting comp is she training for, and is their much competion in her weight class here.

all raw - neither of us use anything to assist - just grip straps on the deadlifts

not sure about the comp details yet as my friend is a powerlifting coach and had recommended she go for it - she has been doing more of a bodybuilding routine but using heavy compound moves rather than specific powerlifting training with non failure frequency training with percentages of one rep max etc

the squat was 125 kg without belt , wraps or any of that but we took the weight down to get the depth - ass to grass is about 80 +
 
ok cool I was mostly wondering if the deadlift was without straps or not cause that would of been some mightly good grip strenght for her. The reason I was wondering is that I have a friend (she would be a bodybuilder as oppose to PL as with your missus) who may think of competing in a powerlifting comp aswell however she would be in the 70kg class so I was just trying to compare her against other irish competitors. currently her lifts would be 120kg squat a2g, 145x4 deadlift (also with straps) and benches around 60.

Just incase you or the missus are looking for more of an Irish flavored lifting forum aswell as posting here you could try
