Day 1.

Hello Everyone I'm HeavyD! and it is a pleasure to meet you all. I'm a 26 year old obese person and this is where my story begins. Sometimes I feel great and have plenty of energy, but most of the time I feel tired, sluggish and out of breath. My work clothes feel tight and uncomfortable most the time, and I don't feel confident about myself when talking to clients. For the past 8 years I have been steadily gaining weight and never stopping. I went from being a high school senior in 2005 at 175 pounds standing 5'10 to a 26 year old man at 245 pounds still standing at 5'10 (that wont change lol). I am going to be keeping both and online and offline journal of everything I do from now on. What I eat, what I do for exercise, how I spend my day, and how I feel at the end of that day. I have had many day ones through out the years but with the support and constant screening from all of you I hope to actually make a difference. That means dropping 75 pounds with no more excuses and with constant scrutiny (I hope) from all of you here on the weight-loss forum. Its too late in the day 8pm for me to do anything other than type this up and prepare for tomorrows meals, so I will begin my next post tomorrow with a break down of what I eat and do. Here are my measurements as of today 5/16/2013.

Thank you all in advance,

HeavyD!

Welcome HeavyD! I think keeping a personal and public journal is a great idea. You can include personal things privately and you have a record to refer back to should you be away from the internet for a while. Good or bad just keep posting and you'll find a lot of positive support here. I've been losing since last December and this place has been a big part of it. Good luck!

:coolgleamA: Welcome, I won't say good luck because luck has nothing to do with it, determination and never giving up will get you there. You will have slip ups along the way (we all do) but never give up.

Hello and welcome! We'll be here to kick your butt (over the interwebs, obviously! :smash:) and keep you on track! Let us know how your first day went.

I feel satisfied as far as food goes, I dont feel like Im missing food or like I under ate or anything like that. I specially didnt feel bloated or tired after any meal.

Exercise well I went to crossfit today and it was a pain. This was only my fourth class but Im pushing myself and with help of the coaches they are pushing me as well. I like the gym Im at everyone there started overweight and out shape and now are healthy and look amazing or are getting there. I think that helps because they motivate and push the new comers and make it feel welcoming instead of the whole "Oh no, Im not good enough to work out with these guys." Anyways so here is the work out.

It was teams of 3 two people where out of shape or new and one person had already been doing crossfit for a while. All the teams had the same structure so we had to do 60 reps total for the team of each exercise with a 200 meter for run in between for the newer people 400 for the experienced.

The Workout:
60 Deadlifts with 35lb weights
200 meter dash
60 Burpees
200 meter dash
60 Olympic squats
200 meter dash
60 Pull ups
200 meter dash
60 Box Jumps
200 meter dash
60 Clean and squats
200 meter dash.

It goes with out saying Im super beat after today but I had to write in my journal and say thank you all for the support. I will get back to it tomorrow but for now Im off to bed. Thanks everyone and I will see you tomorrow.

I see you had protein and a pre workout, what did you have post workout ? was dinner close to when you finished your workout ?

That's what makes me nervous about starting a new class..That I'll be the one that can't do it properly or that holds people back. Nice to hear you had a good experience. Your food looks good! Keep it up!
