The Final Battle

Hi, I just wanted to say that the best part of this I've realised is that I'm not alone in the world. Reading everyone else's posts has made me realise that I'm not the only one, so thank you in advance for giving me a place to come to when I have no one to talk to.:rotflmao:

I began my journey on Monday with my gastric balloon operation, really not a pleasant experience and I'm in a lot of discomfort. However, I choose this because I have several digestive disorders and my Gastro-Specialist Dr recommended that I could cure serveral ailments at the same time..........one being my weight!!

The day of the operation I weighed in at 104kgs, the heaviest I've been for 10 years!! all the weight I lost years ago (9 stone / 57kgs) has almost all crept back on again. My fault.

Went to the Nutrionist yesterday and I weighed 99.5kgs, so a loss of 4.5kgs in 4 days. Hardly surprising since I haven't eaten for 5 days !!

She scanned me and said it was mainly water and muscle tissue that I had lost, bummer!!

My diet currently consists of Water, Green Tea, Actimel x 2 and a glass of milk a day. She wants me on liquids only for another week!! Not fare, I'm STARVING !!!!! No wonder everyone reports rapid wieght loss in the first 2 weeks!! even this laptop looks edible to me!!

Next Tuesday I have another appointment with my gastro specialist and my first appointment ever at a gym! Should be interesting, as I'm running on rather low batteries at the moment.

Start Weight 104kgs (16stone 3llbs) 12/03/2012

Actual 99.5kgs 15/03/2012

Lost 4.5kgs

Target weight 63kgs (healthy 10stone!)

Left to loose: 36.5kgs

Well my first ever trip to the gym was an experience. Apart from the fact that I have no energy to do anything, I did a 45minute circuit with my instructor. I nearly died on one of the machines, as my thighs were too fat to make the machine actually work...I think I have finally accepted the fact that I am actually rather fat.......and as for having to stare in a mirror the whole time at my huge body watching it slowly turn purple, again was not the best experience. Same again Thursday then!

I'm now on liquidized solids from yesterday, as I told my Gastro Dr that I'm just too hungry and getting headaches.

Weight today 98.5kgs

Total loss 5.5kgs since 12th March 2012

Left to loose 35.5kgs

Don't lose hope!! No one likes seeing how they look on a work out machine, which is why I avoid the mirror while I am on them. It's the glow you have after the workout and the feeling of getting your blood pumping that you should focus on.

Stay positive, and you will do great! :hurray:
