hi all
m a 23 year old female trying hard to lose weight
just joined this community today.hope to make "win"good freinds her and "lose "some excess flab
im 5'5"currently at 158.5 lbs
mt target weight is117 bs.m startig out on atkins diet
write in detail later and look forward for diet buddies coz i plan to this time solidly stick right thru

have started the day on the right note
wheatgras juice with honey and 2 eggwhites and a plate of papaya
m planning to stick to atkins
treadmill 1 hours a day with alternate day of yoga and toning with stretching
not someone whose fond of weights coz i have tendencyyo bulk up
calories 1400 to 1600 a day
my biggest flaw--m an emotional eater:mad:
eat when im happy eat when im sad.i guess thats the biggest weakness i hae to overcome

Sounds like you've started well. I'm not a fan of Atkins 'cos I tried it once and didn't like it much but this dieting thing is about what feels good for you and what works for you, so keep it up! :)

Beating the emotional eating thing isn't easy, but stick with it. You can try logging on here whenever you feel like you need a binge and surfing people's diary threads and the before and after pics - it serves as a reminder for me that there's only 1 way to beat the weight; to keep going!

If I can't get online, (and I'm confessing this to you now, so bear with me!) I hum "Oh Happy Day" to myself, which reminds me of our very own OHD (and her pom pom shakes ;) ), which in turn reminds me of the forum and what I'm trying to achieve. It's simple, but it works for me! :cool:

hi to all.thanx stan.u are so right in the end losing weight is all about doing things the way one is comfortable with it
otherwise one can run out of steam midway.i think atkins again is the basic i follow with some modifications to suit myself:p
its 45 pm where i stay and have logged in 75 mins of cardio and 800
cals
one tip which i follow is the 4 pm craving --i have this horrible urge at this time to eat and eat .but now ive found a very simple low calorie but healthy option which beats my cravings ---1 small banana and hapf a bowl of curd--loaded with potassium which is heart healthy and curd for my bones
lets see how i end this day:cool:

seems we have lotse active members .my diary is somewhere on oge 5 .had a good day yest .plan to continue it tody
one thing ive learnt all thes previous attempts at weight loss is tht its a daily moment to moment struggle..more at a amental level.
sometimes i wonder what took me so long................to start even if i had started a month ealier id have 6-7 lbs less to shed ...which seem a huge work now
