Hey
Just wanted to ask about something that I've noticed from time to time. When an "old" thread gets a new reply the mods seem very quick to close it or to go out of their way to make the point that it's an old or dead thread. Why?
Surely the new members (or even old members that have thought of something else to add) can still stand to gain from old threads? By closing them you effectively end possible debate from users that might have something to say and I don't see the reason why just because they haven't had responses in a few months/years that they can't be re-opened to new and fresh debate from more recent members?
Not sure what answer I'm expecting but I've been disappointed when I've gone to comment on a thread only for it to have been shut down for no apparent reason.
