The biggest loser show (biggest looser)

One hour preview

Here is a link to the 1st hour of the premier from the NBC website.

Keep in mind that tonight will be 2 hours long, so if you watch this, make sure you watch the other hour tonight.

I haven't watched it, but if I have time later I will...AND I'll watch all of it all over again tonight on tv!

I haven't had a chance to watch the whole preview but I watched the first 5 minutes. It was moving. This show is so inspirational and it's great to see other people working out and getting fit. This season is based on families. I think it is split into teams of husbands and wives and then parents and their grown children. Besides the weight loss being inspirational is it very interesting to see the dynamics of the families having to work together and compete.

It might be healing to some of us that started having issues with our weight b/c of a family member/s.

As adults we have to take full responsibility for our actions in the present, but it is insightful to look back on where it began. I wrote about my own issues with this today in my journal and it was a little liberating.

DONt 4get THE BIGGEST LOSER is starting TONIGHT!!! I have about 30 mins I cant wait! This is the best motovation and support!!! Yay:) I cant wait to see the families:)

WOW the brown team did really good!!
Congrats to all the teams for starting their life change:)
WOW the after of the green team was so good!

I love this show. I will be glued to this season. Everyone had an incredible first weigh-in. Amy from the purple team and the daughter from the pink team are so pretty now, i cant imagine how they will look as the show progresses.

Awesome premier!!!!

I loved it!! I still can't get over the numbers they were dropping! It's like I forget everytime that the first week has crazy amounts of weight loss, but geeeeze! Next week I know the weight starts to slow down.

I was sad to see the green team go. I really like what they said about proving everyone RIGHT about them being the strongest team when they were eliminated. Amber--I agree! They look sooo good already in their "now" shots!

I don't have a favorite yet, but I really want the yellow team to go far. I want to see the dad overcome his medical problems and I want to *TRY* and keep up with Colleen b/c we are around the same weight. She's already lost 10 pounds this week....so we'll see how that goes. hahaha! I'm about 2 lbs behind her now.

Did anyone work out while they watched the show? I walked in place for about 10 min, did 75 crunches, 10 "real" sit-ups, 31 "girl" pushups(without stopping!), ...and I attempted one "real" push-up...lol The rest of the time I sat on the edge of the couch lifting my 8 lb. hand weights while watching the show. It was soooo good and can't wait for next week!

They should have sent the orange team home. He was a whiny lil brat. I guess when in doubt, vote off the black team.

Were they the couple with the 4 year old that was over weight? Not sure.
I would like to see that couple do well just so they can pass on some good habits to the daughter.

No, the orange team said that they didn't have any kids yet but wanted to try in 3 years or so. I'm glad they are setting out to get healthy before hand. I'm sure thier future kids will thank them one day. I think that was the brown team that had the overweight child.

Me too...

I could watch replays of these shows over and over if possible. It's so inspiring and great motivation. I also worked out last night while watching it, we walked a mile and a half before the show and then did crunches and leg lifts and stuff during the show. That's funny, I thought I was the only wierd one working out during the show. But this show is intense, and I think this might just be the most emotional one so far because it's between loved ones, IDK.... What do you think? Yeah, I definitely want to see the yellow team stick around for a long time. They need it so much. And I was really glad that the green team went, the other team needed it more I think because that woman was the heaviest out of the women, although I think that the green team would have been great competition to all of the others!!! Ahhhh, I can't wait until next week already...

Did anyone else notice that the lady on the orange team was REALLY slagging on her husband because of his weight, yet she was only 30 lbs lighter? And in far worse shape! Because of her overall attitude I wanted Green to stay... But I'll give Green credit for going out gracefully and sticking to a diet and exercise plan. (and looking great so far too! Their reveal will be awesome)

Great show, and I don't want to miss a single episode!! I love PVR!

I dont workout during the show but i'm going to try it next week just during the commercials thats a good idea:)

Sometimes on the Style channel they do play reruns of old shows. I just watched some last week. One time they played it for 2 days all day!!! You have to catch them though, if I ever see them on I will post!!

Its funny b/c me and my mom was watching it and she is stuffing her face and I told her mom I dont think your suppose to eat will watching TBL...lol.. we both started laughing...lol...:)

I'll have to see if I catch that channel. I would LOVE to re-watch some of the older seasons. I'd be different to watch it from the beginning knowing who won!

I think she is the same every season...but my mom thinks she is also to hard on them. I just think its her way of making them listen...lol

I love tonights show. I new the yellow team was not going to when the money, since this happens EVERY season on the 2nd week. I was sad to see the grey team leave, I really didnt know how they would do when they got home but OMG was i shocked!!!! They were doing so good!!!!! The son looks so different, he is starting to look very cute<3

I tried the workout thing during the commercials and I loved it!! I'm going to do it every time its on;)

I think it's stupid how the trainers train every one exactly the same. Then again, it's tv and not reality. Except for that one old dude who has too many contraindications.

I mean, from my perspective, training is an art form. It's something that must be adapted to match the personality type of the client/contestant. Maybe that's happening behind the scenes but it certainly isn't happening on the show.

AHH! I did NOT want either team that got below the yellow line to go. I was sooo sad to see the grey team go. They showed their "now" pictures and a little video of them...and I have to say...the son is looking mighty :flame: Very impressive!

I didn't keep track of how many times I had to get up to exercise :/ I know that I did quite a few push-ups, jumping jacks and sit-ups during the show. I didn't remember what exercise was for each, so I just did those three exercises at random everytime someone cried, complained, and when there was product placement. My favorite was the gum, because it was sooo sly!! They didn't even talk about it. They just showed one of the pink team members slowly reaching for it on the table and they zoomed in on it! I laughed so hard!

I am such a fan of the biggest loser. It really gets me motivated. Although I love Jillian, so far this season she seems a little too mean. What do you think?
Jill

I don't think she's any tougher than she has been. I guess it's just her style. Some people would just crumble being yelled at though. My doctor who delivered my baby was like that. She yelled at me the whole time and was screaming things like, "You're making me work!!" and "You'll never get this done and we'll be here ALL night!" Then she was yelling at the nurses and they got in an argument.... I think for some people that would have motivated them, but for me after about a minute of that I was ready to accept defeat! If it hadn't been for a close friend of mine coaching me in my ear telling me not to listen to her I prob. would have ended up having a C-section. I pushed him out in 12 minutes after I stopped listening to that crazed doctor. I don't know if it's the same for fitness coaching, but I just can't take someone yelling in my face!!

Same here! My jaw dropped! I thought the son on the grey team was really cute before, but now he is reallllly cute! haha. Can't wait for next week when they go to the Grand Canyon!

Yeah, I'd like to find somewhere that has past contestants on the show telling exactly how it was over there and not just what the viewer sees.

How do you know they are being trained the same? I think they work out like 8 hours a day, 6 days a week and they just don't show the one on one training a whole lot, but I have seen it.

I've never seen them go into exactly what their routines are, so I don't think anyone knows exactly what they do on a day to day basis. I do wish the show would give us more of an idea of their routine and what they eat. My thoughts about the reason for this is that they don't want people copying exactly what's being done, b/c these people are being supervised by health professionals and the average veiwer is not. Just a thought...
