The beginning...Please read, I need all the support and encouragement I can get!

Hello everyone,
My goal is to lose 25 pounds, I am currently at 165 and I would like to get down to 140 (just as a start). My husband and I are on this together, if you want to read about his progress he is BigGuy27. We are going to Las Vegas in 4 weeks for our 1 year anniversary so I am determined to lose as much as I can (safely) before then. Here is kinda where I am at right now, when I first noticed that I was really getting big was about 5 years ago, I was in a comfortable relationship and let myself go, when the relationship ended I was 220 pounds! That was by far the biggest I had ever been (although as far as I can remember I have never been skinny either) I have usually been a little overweight but carried it well and I thought I was just average. Anyways, I started eating better (but not really dieting) and the weight just came off slowely. My 2 youngest kids are ages 21 months and 10 months, I lost all the pregnancy weight right away with no problems. My husband and I found out we were going to have another baby due in October so I wasnt planning on starting this diet yet but at 13 weeks pregnant something went terribly wrong and we lost the baby. That has been the hardest thing for both my husband and I to overcome right now. So I decided to start this diet, exercise and try to focus on something else. Moving on....I will be posting my progress every week and I am going to start from April 29th because that is when I started. I apologize for the long introduction and appreciate any and all the support and encouragement I can get! Thanks for reading!!!

Hello 503mommyof4... I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, but I am so glad that you found us and have decided to do something positive with yourself. I myself can say that this is a great place for support and inspiration. There are so many people on here who have lost tremendous amounts of weight. Although you are alot closer to your goal than I am... I'm here for you and I wish you the best of luck :)

Bust---40 1/4 inches
Waist---36 1/4 inches
Hips---42 inches
Around belly button---43 inches

Weight---168 LOST 7 POUNDS
Bust---38 1/4 inches LOST 2 INCHES
Waist---35 1/4 inches LOST 1 INCH
Hips---42 inches SAME
BellyB---42 1/4 inches LOST 3/4 INCH

Hmmm...I dont think thats too bad for 1 week, What do you guys think?

Bust---38 inches Same
Waist---34 inches Down 1 inch
Hips---41 1/4 Down 3/4 of an inch
Belly---41 1/4 Down 1 inch


I cheated a little bit this week, I had 1 burrito dinner, some chocolate milk (ok a lot of chocolate milk) and skipped 2 exercise days :ack2:

As you can see at least I need to get fitted for some new bras...:blush5:

I think you're making great progress, well done!! :hurray:

As for the bras...it's one of the not so nice side effects of losing weight. The girls just seem to be determined to shrink as well....don't spend a lot of money on new bras until you're close to your goal weight. I made that mistake, could wear them for about a month, then they were too big again! :(
