It's so unfair how quickly it seems you can put on the weight but how hard it is to get it off
Today was a bad day, I sat on the couch watching American Idol and before I knew it I ate almost a whole BIG bag of chips!! I am good at eating healthy when its my days at work but when I am at home, I munch and munch!! So these are my goals for this week:

1. Drink at least a 4 cups of water a day ( this is really hard for me so we will start there even though I know you are suppose to drink 8 cups )
2. NO MORE chips ( I have had enough chips for at least the whole week )
3. Eat 3 meals a day-MUST EAT BREAKFAST
4. NO MUNCHING WHEN ITS MY DAYS OFF- Grab a piece of fruit or veggie when
I feel the need to munch.

Here's to the start of my new week....

Hope all is well with everyone else and there goals and if anyone needs a friend this week, I am a great listener!!:D

Hello New Me!! I'm Kim and it's very nice to meet you. I've been a member on this site for about a month now and I just love all the support that is offered here. I think your getting yourself on the right track. And on those chips, may I suggest trying maybe baked lays or some other baked chip and instead of keeping them in the bag, seperate them into small baggies, so when your feeling the need to splurge you only grab one of those baggies which may only contain 12 chips, and once they are gone, they are gone. Half the chips, half the calories, and no temptations to keep putting your hand in the bag. It might help, only a suggestion. I think any water intake during the day is great, and it will take time to build up to drinking a lot more, but any is better than none. I think what you'll find is once you start the workouts (walking or just doing some light stretching) you will benefit big time. Take it slow and take your time. a pound a week is great, so don't get discouraged if you don't see instant results, the slower you take it off, the likely it will stay off. I'm glad your here!! Have a good rest of your evening. I'll be checking in

Hiya New Me!!

Just wanted to start by saying how much I love your name, and with a philosophy like that one, your way more likely to achieve your weight loss journey than if you were doing it for anyone else!

Have read a couple of your other posts, and think we are in a similar place at the moment, I also just joined yesterday, have just signed up for the may 2lb challenge, and am also having a little bit of a battle with including exercise into my life (your braver than me, im way not ready to even step in a gym yet, so go you!)

Please dont worry about the chips, these things happen, today is a new day, and I think the previous poster gave some fantastic advise, that i think I will also follow, about splitting the big bags into little bags, love that one!!

Good luck with the water, must admit its one of the things i find easy to do, by making sure i always have a bottle/glass with me all day wherever I am, and sip on it, and when its done i get a new one and sip on that too, amazing how much I can get through that way!

Well, I better go and write todays entry in my diary now, feel free to take a look at it, and good luck, I'll be following your story if thats ok :)

Good Morning Everyone!

This morning didnt go quite as planned because I set my alarm for 7:30 so I could go to the gym and didn't make it to the gym but dreamed I was there!! LOL.... oh well I will let that blow past me and see what I can do about going after work. I am going to take both the great advice I was given and seperate the chips into little baggies, what a great idea from MissLadybug and from wishes I am going to schedule another training lesson because I have 4 included with my membership that I haven't used up so why not give it a try. I am so looking forward to this 2 lb a week MAy challenge and I feel confident. I am going to go grocery shopping the day before so I haven't everything I need for the first week and I also have been doing drop in at my local squash club but they have the summer promo membership starting on the 1st so I am joining the squash club for the summer!!! I am soooo excited. I am going to join a team that plays once a week and then my friend and me are going to go at least once a week. WATCH OUT FAT YOU ARE COMING OFF!!

Thanks for reading everyone...hope everyone is having a great day!

Me against TV

Well its near the end of my day and I did quite well. Didn't go the gym as per planned but did do something that made me feel GOOD.. I cancelled my cable!!!!:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) I have a little addiction to TV and cannot seem to get past it.. lets put it this way if I had to choose between a tv show I like or going to the gym... TV would definately win every time.... and I have a favorite tv show on everyday so you can see where this could create a problem but if I dont have the temptation then the gym wins and in the end I win. This is my plan anyways. And its starting to be summer, time to get outside and enjoy the weather!

I hope everyone else had a great day and I am off to read some post's and see how you all are doing,

Take care everyone, thanks for reading

Morning New Me!!!! Hey, some gyms come equipt with TV monitors on their cardio machines. Do you have any gyms like that in your area?? That might inspire you a little. :) I'm a music O'HOLIC so I have to be plugged into some type of music box in order to work out at all!! But I know what you mean about the TV watching, I have about 5 programs, I HAVE to watch every week, and we are lucky to have a DVR, so I tape them while I'm at the gym, then watch them on the weekends, or late at night if I can't sleep. Or I would be exactly the same way!! Your on the right track, WOW I would say you are stronger than I getting that Cable turned off. Let me know how it goes. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day!
