Just popping in for a quickie! :reddevil: It's SO great to see all my WLF friends stopping by to check on me. I feel so loved! :beating:

I keep meaning to get on here to catch up on everyone and to post in my diary, but just never seem to find the time lately! ARGH!!! But I at least just wanted to let you all know that I'm not dead or anything!

I've been trying to be good with eating and succeed during the week usually, but FAIL miserably on the weekends. Exercise has been hit and miss. Thank goodness the hits outweigh the misses so far. Plus with teaching archery right now I have at least 2 nights a week where I'm on my feet and GOING, GOING, GOING for 3 hrs straight!

Weight has been bouncing around from 133 to 138 (after a REALLY bad weekend) but mostly hovering around the 135 mark. I guess I'm pretty happy with that, but sure would be nice to get rid of the last 10 lbs once and for all!!!

Things are crazy busy at work as well as at home. Big projects well under way, teaching archery after work, baby calves being born left and right, and trying not to go crazy with the winter that WOULD NEVER END!!!! I'm so sick of the snow!!!

I keep hoping things will slow down a bit, but that might not happen until early May. Just know that I think of you all often and will try to get caught up on your journals one of these days!

Have a blessed Easter everyone!!!

Hi Tigs,

Oh I remember how busy calfing season was- never mind trying to work and teach archery- it is no wonder you have time for anything else. Don't worry about the weight fluctuations as long as you aren't fluctuating 20 pounds up and 5 pounds down-lol. You have a Great Easter as well.

TIG! So happy to see a post! Glad you are alive and well! I definitely wouldn't be worrying about that five pound fluctuation, being as busy as you are. It's still snowing there?? Gosh, I was mad when it snowed on April 1st here!

Take care these next couple of weeks, we'll be thinking of you and your hectic life!

Cowboy - I agree - 20 lbs up and 5 down would be BAD!!! VERY BAD!!!

Laura - yup, still snowing here. We got 10 inches last Tuesday, but by Thursday morning it was all melted. Then Good Friday we got another 4 inches, but it was 70+ degrees on Sunday, so all melted again! Mother nature just can NOT make up her mind this year!

As some of you may know if you've read my journal you know that I use a website/program provided by my health insurance company to track my calories and exercise. Well, as of April 1st they changed to a new version that was supposed to be so much better. Unfortunately it SUCKS!!! So for this month I'm trying sparkspeople - so far so good I guess. I'm still getting used to it though. With the old site I tracked calories and exercise because I earned points for doing it and could redeem the points at the end of the year for up to $250 in cash or prizes. The new site still does that, but they've made it so hard to track things that I'm not sure it's worth it! It also doesn't create a custom workout plan for me any more. Now that I don't get anything for tracking in sparks, I'm getting kind of lazy with it, especially lately with being so busy.

I sure hope I don't regret that... So far so good though. I'm still holding fairly steady at around 135 and getting workouts in 4 to 6 days out of the week normally. I am usually eating around 1300 to 1500 cals a day during the week, but around 1800 to 2000 on the weekends. So obviously I always weigh more on Monday mornings than on Fridays (like 5 or 6 lbs more!)

Back in November when I basicly went into maintenance mode I quit taking my multi vitamin because I figured I was eating a very healthy, well balanced diet high in fruits and veggies - so there should be no need to take one. Well, as the months went on I started having issues with PMS getting worse and worse each month to the point where I thought I might be losing my mind. My cycles were getting shorter and shorter, going from 29 days to 20 days - which meant I was dealing with the severe Dr Jeckyl/Mr Hyde syndrom for about half of every month. At the time I didn't realize that it might be linked to stopping the vitamins, but after researching on the internet I found that it COULD be causing me the problems I was having. So around 2 months ago I started taking my multi vitamin again, with an additional B-50 complex for the 4 or 5 days prior to my period starting.

People I am telling you that you CAN NOT believe the difference it has made! I'm like a normal person again! I have not had a single crabby day in 2 months - the week before my period? HA! I hardly noticed it! And rather than a 20 day cycle, I had a 24 followed by a 27 day cycle! Things are definately looking up and my hubby no longer feels the need to have me locked up at the funny farm every month.

Ahhh bliss. Life is GOOD!

So I am assuming that your hubby has emptied the bank account and bought you a lifetime supply of vitamins- LOL? It finally stopped snowing here about 3 weeks ago and we can actually see the grass- about time!! I have been using my fitness pal for the last little while- it seems to be okay but still I have to estimate on certain recipes. I don't get points for it though.

Does fitness pal allow you to track sodium and fiber on the foods you enter? And does it create a custom workout routine for you that progesses automaticly as time goes by?

I'm always on the look out for new/better tools to help me out!

Hi Tig,

I have seen you posting on my and other people's diary but thought I would check yours-lol. How are things going? I don't know what is going on if it is the change in season and everyone is busy or some kind of weight loss monster around sabotaging everyone's weight goals-lol but even the people that post on my diary or I post on theirs are not around either. I am hoping they are just busy and not falling off the wagon - so to speak. Anyway, trust you are well.

I miss your posts! I went to the doctor and he suggested an anti depressant for my horrible mood swings.. I switch in the day, from horribly down and grouchy and tired to almost abnormally happy, to crying about odd things.

I'd rather just take vitamins tho! Maybe I'll give it a try.. thanks for posting your happy results!

TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yikes! I can't believe how long it's been since I've posted in my journal! I have missed all you guys!!!

Archery classes finished this week. I took a van full of girls up to the state archery tournament last weekend and spent the night with them in the cabins that they use for 4-H summer camp. I swear I was about ready for a padded room by the time we got back! LOL!

Food hasn't been the greatest lately, especially this last week. And I think the last time I worked out was about 2 weeks ago. Standing and walking around on cement floors for 3 hours teaching archery was really hard on my knees for some reason. Running was becoming extremely painful - especially starting out. It seemed like if I could just grit my teeth and get thru the first mile or so of my run the endorphins would kick in and I wouldn't feel the pain any more. But I figured running thru pain that bad wasn't a good idea. My lower body weight training was getting to be super painful as well. So I finally just quit working out. I'm giving myself thru the weekend (hopefully my knees will feel back to normal by then) and then I will start back to my regularly scheduled programming on Monday as far as working out goes. I'm also getting back on the old chuck wagon as well - back to good clean eating first thing Monday morning! I have to say that even with my lousy eating lately it hasn't really affected me that badly. I'm still hovering between 134 and 138. Too much salt seems to be more of a factor in my weight than anything else. Maybe this whole maintenance thing won't be too hard after all???

The main thing I've noticed especially this week is how fast my muscle tone is decreasing. I don't feel as lean and firm as I did when I was lifting weights regularly. Makes me kind of sad that it seems to take so long to build them up but they disappear all too quickly if you don't keep at it.

Hopefully life will start to slow down this next week. I'm itching to put in my garden, but the weather hasn't been cooperating. They are forcasting a snow/ice storm tonight and tomorrow again. I swear this winter is NEVER GOING TO END!!!!

Well, I hope all you fabulous people are doing wonderful and reaching your goals. Hopefully I'll get some time to catch up on everyone's diaries this weekend.

For now I have a date with nice cold glass of sangria and I'm going to bribe my kids with candy to give me foot rubs!

Later...
