Theres no way in hell I could eat 6,000 calories. I like food, but I made sure I ate 3000 the most on my cheat day pus i work out on my cheat days lol

This is what I ate today. Obviously this is my cheat day. Been on slo carb diet per The 4 Hour Body for 8 weeks now. Have come from 190 to 163. So for what it's worth it works for me.

no, not at all. its basically the same thing but with carbs but good ones. It basically teaches you what is good for you, why its good for you and how to eat right. Its actually really really good. I read it last night and its so simple like the slow carb. I didnt like the SB because it was too complicated and sometimes fancy for me haha but this sounds good. if i dont see any results after my 6 week, im going to do this. its also a 6 week program. I think this book is a lot better than Tim's. Theres a lot of great information on food.
 
Starting to finally see results! After my period, everything changed. Woot woot! I lost 7% of body fat! WOOT!

Has anyone ever read or done the abs diet? Just picked up a copy. my dr actually recommended it to me

You got me intrigued, so I googled this and I think I'll give this diet a try.
I tried Low Carb (not slow carb) but that made me physically ill (nope, that is not an excuse) so I got back to counting cals.
Can you give an example of what things you can't eat/have?
 
Today is my weigh-in day, so I wanted to post my update ... I lost several pounds this week after a plateau, so I'm now at 154 (I'm down 14 pounds since New Year's). I also lost a half inch off of my hips, so I'm really happy with how my clothes is fitting - I'm back into all of my size 8 stuff (and some of it is a little loose) and some of my size 6 jeans (not all of them yet - that's the goal).

So, my new weight is 154 (goal is 148 - just 6 pounds to go!)

My new measurements are:
38 bust, 29 waist, 39.5 hips, and 21 thighs

My goal measurements are:
37 bust, 28 waist, 38 hips, 19 thighs

I may need to lose more than 6 pounds to hit my goal measurements, but I want to hit my goal weight first & then start a new goal after that if I'm not as thin as I want to be yet.

I believe you, I had a friend that passed out at the gym after she was on South Beach for about 5 days, it's not for everyone. Good luck on the new diet.
 
i think in the market we have different type book on health and then it should not decide on one book. its not good advice that fruits are harmful for us. its depends on individuals.
 
on my fifth week and i only lost 8llbs but lost 1.2% of body fat. Thats something! and I count my calories, 2000 a day. Cheat days, 3000-4000 and I workout on my cheat days. So, not so bad. I like I lost bodyfat! woot, think I will start on the abs diet next....
 
I've been on for 6 weeks, lost 4kgs. But from a DEXA body composition scan only 15% of that loss was fat. My body composition is worse than I started. I was so devastated. 24.5% up to 25.1%. I have been eating well haven't been starving myself at all, and my activity levels have gone up. How the hell did I end up losing 3.4 kgs of muscle?

I'm Getting a DEXA scan done on Monday up in Encintas Ca. I wish I had one done at the outset,so I could have a comparison on the type of weight loss (muscle vs. fat).
I have mixed feelings on the diet, so I am going to re-evaluate it and decide what I want to do for the next 30 days.

No I haven't kept an online food diary, but I'm going to start. Also gonna add an extra 60g of protein a day through a WPI and see if that does anything to curb the muscle loss along with some weight training.
