Take 2....Action!!

Hi all :)

well here I am again, having failed in the most spectacular fashion to lose weight in time for christmas:smash: Nope not a pund stayed off....in fact i HAVE GAINED ten pounds and hit my highest weight for two years instead :( :(

Having avoided the scales for ever, I was finally brave enough to go on them today. The huge number of 241 screamed out at me. I actually thought I was going to fall over in disgust. I knew it wouldnt be good but i cant believe that I have done so much damage.

Usual reasons apply as to why i have ballooned up like a whale yet again - too much food and not enough exercise! The fact that I have been drinking huge amounts of wine hasnt helped either. Dammit!:angelsad2:

So here it begins....i will lose weight this year. I have to, or I will keep gaining and end up even more unhappy with myself and even more disgsusted. Oh dear :(

So weighing in at 241 pounds, I will start again and hopefully by next week i will record a nice little loss for the new year :) Start as youmean to go on!!
 
EVERYDAY

Walk at least 2 miles (easy at this time of year as the weather is gorgeous esp in the evening)

Do 50 stomach crunches, 25 lunges and 25 squats

Drink 2 litres of water

Eat a healthy balanced diet

No wine at all - not a single drop!


WEEKLY

Do a cardio class (Wednesday Evening)

Do any class on my day off - muscle toning, cardio or yoga

Weigh in on a Friday morning and record weight here and on 12 week challenge.


I want to make this attainable and something that i wont just give up on. Im terrible at sticking to harsh diets and exercise programmes so this suits me i think :) Im also really busy at work and with family so I need to try and work around that. I like walking and will def be able to walk everyday, simple exercises should be easy enough too. As always, it will be the food that causes the issue - i really love all foods and I am really greedy! somethings gotta give tho and as much as i would love to be one of these people who can eat what they like I AM NOT!! No amount of wishing will make that happen so I guess i better then :ack2:


Sooooo I have a plan, now i need the incentives! Loads of things happening this year and I want to look good in the photos!!! Im going to list all the things that are happening and the weight that i can expect to be if i follow the plan and lose around 2 lbs per week.....here we go!

February 12th - ACDC concert in Melbourne (221 pounds)

April 16th - Holiday in New Zealand (and seeing my best (204 pounds)
friend for the first time in 8 months!)

July 1st - My 28th brithday! (185 pounds)

December 17th - Back to the UK for Christmas (150 lbs)
(This is the BIG ONE! i want to be at my ideal weight!)


When I break it up like this it does look achievable and it shows how much difference 2 pounds per week can make. I just need to stick to it now!

Hey skinny wishes, merry xmas, welcome back. I've been away too.

Your goals look really good, I'm sure you can do it... just a little bit at a time eh.

I'm going to match your exercise plan for today... let me know how you go!

Ok, not been near a comp for weeks but things have finally settled down and becoe less hectic now!

Not really stuck to the plan but have been a bit more careful than usual so am a little lower but not much! Bearing in mnd that this means that I havnt gained anything over the massive bbqs and meals out of the last few weeks, i'll take it as a positive!!

So yesterday i was really careful with what i ate and have decided to jot it down so that i can kepp track of all the cals :)

Brunch - Wholemeal roll, chicken, tomato and dijonaisse 400 cals

Dinner - Chicken and tom pasta bake 600 cals

Snacks - Handful peanuts 120 cals, 50g crisps 240 cals, coffee 50 cals

Total cals Around 1500

Exercise - sadly lacking!


Will def up the exercise today and im going to look into fitness classes and curves costs today too :)
 
food looks ok but seems a little lacking in veg, but good work on the calories :)
 
thanks trusylver...veg is not my best friend! i do need to try and eat more veggies so duly noted!

so yesterdy i got in my 3 mile walk and really kept on the cals (around 1500 again) so another good day logged :hurray:

and today has been pretty good food wise but i didnt manage any exercise at all. far too busy but tom i will def get a 4 mile walk and im going to check out curves to see how much it will cost for a membership.

food today

breakfast - 2 weetbix, half banana, semiskimmed milk 300 cal

lunch - chicken and tomato sandwich with mayo 500 cal

dinner - 2 lamb chops with cous cous 600 cals

snacks - raisins 60 cals, 2 coffee 90 cals

total cals aaround 1600
