So...I found this place from a friend of my boyfriend. She is known as Risty on this forum...so thanks Cristina.
My name is Lindsey. I'm currently in college....and I just finished my freshman year. So with the freshman year comes the freshman 15....but I got the freshman 20 something....I used to be 180-ish....but now I'm ranging in 200-210....:doh:
I've started eating Lean Cuisine and starting to play DDR again...( I used to be able to play for hours and I've been away for a year and can do about 2 rounds {6 or so heavy songs}) I'm waiting for my neighborhood pool to open up so I can go swim and whatnot....
But I'd like to be ya know, at LEAST back to 180.....but it'd be awesome to be 160 or 140....o.0
PS-Sorry if this first entry seems choppy....I'm just a bit tired at the moment haha
 
Hey Welcome aboard - Christina is a friend of mine through this forum...

Our weights and goals are close - Im abt 205 - been jumping between 203 and 206 and my goal weight is 160...

I will gladly drop in and offer support to you - any friend of Christina's is a friend of mine :D:D:D

What's freshman 15 or 20? Sorry i am not frm USA. I am frm Singapore, a tropical crazy weather country. Hehe....

That's great you like to swim...it's something I'd like to learn to do one day. Fantastic exercise.

Goal 160?! Gosh I wish I am taller. I am only 5'2.

Im only 5'2 myself but I think 160 is obtainable for me - which was why I picked it - it has always been my ideal in my head...I think I can get there and tone up and it will be a good number for me

Sun - why did you pick 160 ???
 
PinkyDolly Freshman 15 is a phrase we use for the 15 pounds almost everyone gains when they go to college their freshman year...

2Skinny Hah, thanks...I was also a mascot my freshman year of high school....Mascoting gives a good workout too if I forgot to mention lol

cinderelly Yeah...I'm like, 6 foot about...But I remember when I was in high school the early years I was about 160 (And I even remember being self-conscious then about my weight too) but now that I know how big I am now I probably wouldn't be that way as much if I got back down to 160...

Today I'm going to go ice skating with my bf...Hopefully he won't land on his face like he did last time...lol

6 foot - geeesh - lol - I always joke around abt if only i could just grow a few inches I woudl solve all my weight problems - after havign two kids I t hink gettin down to 160 will be a great accomplisment - we will see when I get there...but that woudl be like 80 is lost I believe - I started at 240...

Here to hoping he doesnt fall flat on his face again - that made me laugh and smile - LOL!!!

I'm so glad you joined the forum, it'll be so awesome :D I didn't know you were that tall! I'm sure 160 would be a pretty good weight for that height. I wish we all lived closer so we could play DDR together, I don't have many people I can play that with but it's so much fun when there's more than just you playing, hehe. Oh and I can't do many heavy songs, I'm just not coordinated enough yet, lol.

Have fun with skating, I haven't done that in forever! I hope he doesn't fall on his face either, lol. At least it'll be good exercise but a fun one at that!

By the way, the mascot pic is so cute!
 
So, nevermind about the ice skating today....we are gonna go on Saturday when we can be there all day...cause he had to get ready for Kickboxing...
We ended up only going to see 28 weeks later....and I feel bad cause my parents and I just got back from eating Mexican food.....so I'm kinda scared to step on the scale for the current weight today....it would be like: :eek2: but yeah...maaaaybe I should find a karate place so I can continue doing that this summer...
 
Too bad about the skating. At least you'll get to go when you can be there for as long as you want.

I know how you feel about the eating thing, I ate baked spaghetti and garlic cheesy fingers, AH! I really need to get my butt back into gear. It's just so hard when you don't plan ahead to cook a healthy supper, then it's too late to make anything and so you just go out to eat and it turns out to be the usually unhealthy crap!

Better luck on your eating tomorrow (and same goes for me...lol!)

u do karate? cool! i duno many gals who know that. Great to know some defence skills hahah. and keep fit too!

Is Mexican food bad? I tot they r spicy and hot?
 
Risty Yeah....we decided to go Saturday when we can go from like, after lunch till dinner time or when we get hungry....so that's a good 5-6 hours at least that I'll be working my legs.....lol

PinkyDolly Yeah....I've kinda always had an interest in martial arts....so I know a lil of Kickboxing, karate and I was the only girl that went to the mixed martial arts club....:boxing: But Mexican places give you LOTS of food with your meal....I had 2 Enchiladas with shrimp and crabmeat in it....so it's good in the fact that I had seafood instead of beef.....but I also had a bunch of avacados for guacamole...which has natural fat in it...but I guess you can consider it good fat....


But today I did well for lunch....I had this Tuscan chicken panini at a deli place....really good...but, now my parents are making some frozen lasagnia (spelling? :confused: ) but I kinda don't want it cause I know how I will feel after eating it.....fat and tired and a lil sick.....so maybe just a lil of it....::shrugs::

I need to play DDR sometime soon.....last time I played it was a few days ago and I did so much that my legs couldn't do it the next day....
 
A fellow DDR Player!!! I love that game, too. I JUST started heavy and I can pass most songs up to seven feet. Some of them just barely! Playing DDR ultramix 3 and universe. Like the ultra 3 better though. I can play all night if I don't get into the heavy mode, but with heavy, about an hour and I'm laying on the floor near death ;). Okay, slight exageration!

Congrats on joining the forum and starting back up on getting fit. The ice skating sounds fun, too!

Heh, thanks Michelle aka notme....yeah....we all gotta start somewhere...I was like that too...I remember being able to play for hours on end....:jump: I have the Max2, Extreme, and Extreme2....and where my boyfriend works they have metal pads and different cd's and I get to play for free hehe....:D
 
I can't do 7 feet... oy! I wish! I can do 6 though. I have konamix, max 2, extreme, extreme 2 and supernova! Plus I got this one from a diff company where you can put your own music in there and it'll make a dance to it! It's pretty kewl but I don't like the setup. I know what you mean about doing it so much in a day that the next day you're too sore! I definately have done that!

Lasagna....mmm.... so good! So evil though cause I could probably eat a whole pan of it to myself! If you are reasonable with things like that, it's fine for an every so often type of item! I'm Italian/French and so being reasonable with pasta is like... I can't even describe it, but I'm sure you get the idea! lol
 
Haha, yeah, I only had about a cup of it...(as in measurement lol)

Today I am 208....and I had a granola bar and a chicken club sandwich...maybe late r I'll have low fat brownies....
and for somereason ,my comp won't delete.....:-/

Love the name & I'm impressed you are the mascot. I admire you for that! I filled on once in high school.. long story. Anyway I only did it once & it was for a public appearance not a pep rally thankfully, but it was incredibly awkward & HOT! (We were the panthers)

Glad you found this place. Its amazing for support through the good losing times & the times you just think you are losing it mentally!

Good luck in reaching 160. Its completely realistic. Go for it!

Yeah....when people find out I'm a mascot they always ask if it gets hot in there....I can usually go through a 2 hour basketball game constantly moving without a break....one time I had to mascot for 6 hours....THAT time I had a break in between lol....But people think I have ice packs in the suit or a fan in the top of the head....not true....heh...Sometimes I think they should do a "True Life: Mascot" show or something to let people see the stuff I gotta go thru....but it's a very fun thing to do

I played 2 rounds of DDR and weighed myself after and was a pound less...hehe:eek2: So things are looking up for me....I just keep silently thinking to myself that when I lose all this weight how I get to go shopping for normal sized clothes again....

WAIT! :eek: you mean its not just me!?! lol.. that's my reward to look forward too. Cant wait to be able to just grab something off the rack & know that it will fit.
