Suggestions on a low-impact workout for shoulder injury.

This question is actually for my girlfriend who has had significant complications in her right shoulder & arm. Physical therapy has offered improvements, but she was recently told that her choice of exercise is prevent a full recovery.

That said, she's tried various low-impact workouts, but now even 30 minutes on an elyptical machine leaves her in pain. Weights are out of the question for the time being, but she needs something -- her workouts keep her mentally and physically in tune.

I've suggested walking, but know from experience myself just how boring that can be. Anyone else have suggestions?

Swimming.
But make sure she talks to a Pro about it before starting any exercise. Your shoulders are quite poss the most important joints in your body because they control pretty much everything you do.

Take it slow and in small steps.
