Hi :) I've started this to keep me motivated, in light of not much change happening in this side of the world :(
I've been saying I need to lose weight for a year now, so sick of hearing me complain my boyfriend has bribed me into losing weight by offering me a holiday with him to bali, so long as I lose the weight. Trouble is.. I have two month to do it in, cos all year i've been so slack lols. so i have to lose 10kg.. that's the agreed goal...
my body has always been quick to respond to diets and exercise. In past health kick experiences one week at the gym would lose me 2 pant sizes. Of course I put it all back on so now I've hit the gym again. Only problem is its been two weeks, going about 5x a week for an hour and a half, and no change in the scales. I know people say, don't look at the scales, but I took measurements before I started and they haven't changed. I started a diet, and again minimal change. I'm told I look better, but if my measurements are the same how can I look better?!
argghhhh.. I was so depressed yesterday about it, I went out and had strudle... not very healthy...
anyways.. so tonight I am hitting the gym again, to get a new program worked out for me :) hopefully this will see some changes in the next couple of weeks..and i am starting a low carb, salad loving diet, for the brand spanking new salad loving me.. yes. i. love. salad. yum ^^.

ahaha.. anyways, any tips on losing 1-2 kg a week when your metabolism has shot out the window?? hehehe.. hope its only temporary

oh yeah my plan:
i do 30 min or more cardio every day at the gym.. and some weights..... I use the time to watch tv so it depends on whats on...
umm... I'm trying to stick to a 1500 cal diet.. I weigh 6- no i am actually going to say my real weight.. I way 72 kg... *hides*... and I want to get down to 53... that is my long long term goal.... When I first put on weight I weighed 45... I've added 1 cm to my height since then.. and 30 kG!!!:eek:!
I try to walk the dog for an hour every day, but usually only get 30 min... but I am aiming to do 5kms a day with sunshine (our terrier).. and then at the gym I usually average 5-4 kms..
so yes.. I know, its not very structured but I get bored if things get too constant, so I try to fruit it up a bit...:rotflmao:
Oh and I weighed myself today! I lost 1 kg!! yipeee!! :jump:
 
apart from the obvious english lessons I need (this is what a science/ maths major does to you people! so take heed!) I caught the flu.. I knew it was coming, panicked about it throwing me off track with lost time at the gym + stuffed up metabolism so i pushed myself and guess what.. I caught the flu....So i've done what I used to always do whenever i catch the flu: take advantage of the potential to lose 4kg.. but at the forefront of my mind is 'oh gosh! we are loosing days at the gym. potentiall muscle building, cardio training.. eeekk! you should go even if you feel sickish.. it will make you get better.. right? blood + immune cells pumping around, getting to the site of flu quicker. right? right?!" and then there is "but i'll give everyone else the flu! which sux!"... and then there is the tiny voice that goes "just take advantage of the loss of appetite. don't eat for a week, and you'll lose 4kg! that puts you right back on schedule! plus an extra compliment to boot!" and then there is me going.. ' but its only water weight, and it'll all come back on + a slower metabolism' ... :'( .. so even though i feel better, considering i haven't eaten for the past 2 days anything but teas and a bowl of vegie soup... i'm scared of eating again in case i just pile anything on.. and my stomach has started to grumble today.. but i'm still not fit enough to go gym...
:boxing: i think i have to ease back into it right? i mean, i haven't lost the usual 4 kgs, I've only lost 1 kg due to flu.. i think.. i'll ease into it.. like soup and salad tommorow.. yeah.. :S i need to go to the gym.. its scary....

back to discipline

so today i am starting my diet/ lifestyle change again! yay.. gym fitness test tonight :> :> and i got my heartrate up to my target and was barely puffed! yippee :)
so meal plan today:
breaky: grapefruit, buttered wholemeal toast, instant mocha late :p
snack: apple
lunch: chicken cajun salad (chicken, tomato,lettuce,spring onion, avocado)
dinner:.. not so good.. umm party tonight so i guess i'll try and reach out for salad.. and no pizza.. but cake...oh cake.. mb a slither.... :p
emergency hunger food: grapes.

exercise: 30 min elliptical at 12 km/hr. 30 min dog walk. 1 hr light weights..
 
hiya, noticed no one else seemed to be in here, so came to say good luck with the bali goal, and congrats on the new start.


anyway i should really go to bed now, its 1 am , damn internet.

may have to have a nap at college tomorow

I'd also like to wish you good luck:) Nice story by the way. but you way 11-12 stone (Sorry, i'm britsh, if it's not in stones it sounds baffling to me :p) Surely that isn't to big... Heck if i weighed that i'd be under my BMI required weight.

Thanks for the comments :) i really appreciate the encouragement hehe.. apart from my bf, i dunno, i think my family is a bit 'lets be tough attitude' so a nice word is rarely heard from any of them *Sigh*... so yes... i really appreciate then encouragement, and just wanted to say thank you, and i'll definately keep it up.
I'm really short so a couple of kilos make a HUGE difference, when i started, i had that body fat% thing done, and it came out i was techincally obese... but not anymore! hehehe
oh yeah...
i've been pretty bad the past couple of days having cake for breakie lols, but that all ended today, cos the cake run out hehe, and all that is left in the fridge is salad, and meat. and I've started packing lunches so I don't forget to eat, cos that it a big problem I have, I forget to eat, then get ravenously hungry and 'binge' eat until my stomach hurts from eating so much :mad: so i pack lunch now so that doesn't happen and keep an apple armed and ready :rolleyes:
oh,and i got my fitness plan, so now I do 40 min cardio, and do weights for about 30 min... and i am going to gloat here, but I could run at 14ks for longer than a minute wihtout having to stop! I couldn't do that before. 30 secs and i would be out. and i kept it up for 15 minutes! I was like YAY i am getting fit!! :> :> hehehe
so i left the gym today, beetroot but skipping hehe.:rotflmao:
oh and one other kilo down. :) I kept wanting to re hop onto the scales to check it out again. and again hehe..
